British Trials Cup Round 1 - Bracken Rocks
Ben Swales replied to BikeTrial Federation's topic in Clubs and Competitions
Don't worry about it! Enter whichever class you like (I'd suggest intermediate to begin with), then on the day you can have a look at the sections and see what you think - you can move up or down if the one you've entered looks to easy or too difficult. In addition to this, if, when you start riding, you decide that the route that you end up riding is too difficult or too easy, you can move up or down after up to three sections. The idea is that you challenge yourself, but above all have fun! -
Design A Gb Riding Shirt - Vote For The Winner Now Open
Ben Swales replied to BikeTrial Federation's topic in News
The idea is that these shirts are 'exclusive' and for riders who are representing Britain in international competitions. I see no reason why we can't get some standard BTF ones made up to sell - we'll look into it. Paint.NET (which I used for mine) is free and has most of the basic functions of Photoshop I believe -
Quality! Great work getting it up Dave! It's great to see some of the old guard in action and how things have progressed since then (1999 is the year I started riding). I used to love Knabb Quarry as well!

Nice. Are you all remembering to submit your designs to the email address as well as putting them in here? -
No, no confirmation emails for competition entry.

Zhao Xuan a Chinese rider with wings - Zhao Xuan's had some pretty impressive edits out recently. At 21 years old, his level of riding is incredible! We decided to get hold of him and talk to him about his history, his goals and what makes him tick. Mickael Dupont - one crazy street rider! - In just one year, Mickaël Dupont has brought his riding up to a seriously impressive level. His latest video has caused a bit of a stir, not least because he is riding an old ladys bike ! Watch it, and then read our mini-interview with the man himself.

It was Marc Caisso and Cédric Calvin. I thought the video was OK - I always love to see Caisso, I love how little he is - it gives him a really interesting style, and he's so QUICK! I'm already a bit bored of helmet cam footage though...

That's right. It's £10 for your annual membership and then £10 entry fee per event.

Hi Dave, The above is decent advice, and online templates etc. can be helpful. Your CV is a summary of your working life that shows your experience, qualifications, etc. but you can tailor it to each job that you apply for to highlight certain bits of info that are more relevant to each job. Your cover letter is where you lay out why you're the right person for the job how you meet the requirements (with examples from previous professional experience). We're recruiting at work at the moment and I'm applying for new jobs as well, so if you want to email me you CV and cover letter (along with the spec/advert for the job you're applying for) I'd be happy to have a look at it for you.

Looks like you have round 2, but are missing round 4 (Brimham Rocks) and round 6 (Penistone Country Park). Brimham Rocks http://brimhamrocks.co.uk/location.htm Penistone Country Park Through Haworth Village along the Stanbury Road taking the left fork as you leave Howarth. Follow the road (1.5km) to the T-junction. Turn left up the hill and look for the “Penistone Country Park” sign on left. Nearest postcode (toilets) is BD22 9RH. We always put directions to the venue on the entry forms, don't worry!

You don't need a licence for Tyke Trial events, just club membership. There's a link on the left hand side of the club homepage to download the membership form. We haven't sorted out the 2012 membership forms yet (it's next on our list!), but we'll be sure to post in here when they're up

Not bad cheers. Been doing shuttle runs at physio and going the gym two or three times a week - getting there slowly but surely. Was going to come on my road bike tomorrow, but a trials bike is a little way off yet. Still coming down thick and fast my end of town, about an inch on the ground now. I think I'll be staying in after all!
-
It is settling - got about 3mm at the moment, but it's still snowing and starting to get a bit heavier.
-
It is. Starting to settle as well. I'll keep you posted
-
Likewise. PM'd you my email address.
