It should still do it - just delete the s from https

As far as I know, there wasn't anyone specifically filming the trials. There were a few people filming the weekend in general who came and filmed a few sections, so some footage may crop up somewhere - I couldn't tell you where though I'm afraid. There'll be a full write-up on Tribal Zine on Sunday with a full gallery of photos if that's any consolation?

Fort William - Podiums and Results - Last weekend, rounds 3 & 4 of the British Trials Cup were held in Fort William, alongside the UCI Downhill and 4X World Cup. Jack Carthy won both days, with a perfect trial in round 3, beating Guillaume Dunand and Dave Kerr. Here are the results and podiums from both days. A full report and photo gallery will follow soon!

Good news, I'll be watching. Great work from Kenny sorting it all out and from Extreme for airing! Hopefully other organisers will start to take note as well.

It doesn't really matter too much in advance. I'd say enter Expert for now, then have a look at the sections once they've been set - you can move down a class if you think it's too hard for you (you won't be able to move up to Elite though I'm afraid, as you have to qualify). You can ride up to three sections of your chosen class to see how youget on before moving down as well - the idea is for you to ride in a class that matches your ability, so if you've entered one that's too hard or too easy you can move up or down. We want you to enjoy it!

Bad news... hope you're bearing up. I was off the bike for about six months with my ankle (dislocated ankle, torn ligaments all the way round, broken talus plus a dislocated shoulder into the bargain) after an operation and a lot of physio. I was pretty much housebound for three months as I couldn't use crutches with my shoulder (yeah, that sucked). I ended up watching a LOT of DVD box sets, bike videos and films, catching up with the long list of books I'd been meaning to read but not had time, developing a healthy experimental interest in tramadol and seduced my next door naighbour (which worked out well - we're still together eight months later). As soon as I could use crutches I tried to get out of the house every day, at least for a bit, to make sure I got some fresh air and exercise as being in the house constantly for months had taken its toll on my fitness and sanity. You could learn to play chess (or work on your game if you already can), learn a new language, exercise the rest of your body as much as possible and as soon as you are able, get on with your physio exercises, read books, watch films and series, come up with little projects, that kind of thing. It sucks though, there's no getting round that. I'll pop some trials DVDs round at some point if you like?

All in one piece. One very tired, painful piece. Neil's told you about getting your passes hasn't he?

That's enough to brighten anyone's day!

It's been beautiful today, but the forecast is a little gloomy...
-
We'd prefer you didn't - we still have sections to set and may use the rocks you're thinking of. Why not ride some street in town tomorrow and just ride the rocks on Saturday an Sunday?
-
Nah, that was my plan but my bike's in bits in the car and I'm too scared of the midges. ABSOLUTELY NO riding of the sections allowed before the trial, sorry. We set 6/8 sections today, just two more to do in the morning. All pretty different - the rocks and logs have all been moved around - and some very interesting/challenging lines!

This. Aaaaaand.... This.

Great footage – cheers for posting Josh! I was a bit dubious about the ‘media friendly’ Super Final format when it was announced, but it was actually a real success I think! It was great to be able to watch what was going on here in the UK and the four sections, top four riders format meant that it was pretty exciting to watch as well! I showed it to my girlfriend and her family, who don’t really know that much about the sport, and they were completely transfixed. They thought it was an excellent transmission; the riding, format etc. were interesting and exciting and the commentary was professional and informative (nice work Drei!). I think, if the people covering it continue to do a good job and keep getting the right people to commentate, this new format could be a great step in the right direction for getting the sport much more coverage and exposure and, in turn, generating a lot more interest in it from big companies, media, etc. Jack’s performance was incredible as well. I always knew he was going to do big things when he got onto the UCI Elite circuit, but third place in his first ever World Cup is an unbelievable result! You could see how happy he was after some of the sections as well, and I was on my feet cheering him on the whole way through (even though I wasn’t watching live and already knew the result). Can’t wait to see how the rest of his season goes! If you look at the footage people are clapping, the sound obviously didn’t get picked up that well. Not as many clapping or cheering as he deserved for such a performance though. I guess they were all saving their cheers for Kenny as they were his home crowd. I don’t think so, no, just the 26” Super Final this time. Maybe there’ll be more coverage at the next Belgian one in August. I don’t know if there’ll be coverage of any of the other rounds – Kenny arranged it all with his partners and sponsors for the Belgian rounds. I think he did a great job of organising, promoting and covering the event! Hopefully, now people have seen how well the new format can be televised etc., they'll start to follow his example. Word. Nice to have someone who knew what they were talking about and was able to articulate it properly – did a very professional job! Ouch. It was a nasty fall, and he was in obvious agony throughout the Super Final. HUGE respect for finishing – what a champ! There will be coverage of the next Belgian round for definite. Hopefully, with the new ‘media-friendly’ Super Final format and Kenny setting a good example with coverage of his events, more organisers will start to follow suit Or, put more diplomatically, Enter Bike were able to offer him a better deal and had more of an active interest in Jack competing in the UCI World Events so were more suited to Jack’s ambitions. Kenny’s riding a rebadged Ozonys Curve with Karbon forks for competitions and training and, I’m pretty certain, a rebadged Ozonys King of Dunce (still not sure what that name’s about) for shows and street. As far as I know, GT have no immediate plans to make him a trials bike, but are supplying him with mountain bikes and support. There may be a trials bike in the pipeline in the next few years, but (again, as far as I know) not for a while.

I think it was live coverage of the 26" Super Final only. Not sure though. I imagine there'll be some edits appearing over the next few weeks. I think it was live coverage of the 26" Super Final only. Not sure though. I imagine there'll be some edits appearing over the next few weeks. -

That's 13:45 in Belgium - 12:45 in the UK for the live Super Final. -
Dammit. Forgot to switch back accounts. I'm pretty sure the bird'll be fine. And like Sam said, if I saw a 6 year old walk into a chocolate fountain like that, I'd crease up. I'm trying to think of other funny things that birds and six year olds could do now. Speaking of birds: Flipp, your new avatar is bwiwwiant.

I'd not seen that (although Kellie may have sent me an email about it a while ago, now I think about it). I'll send them one from last year's trial and see if they'll change it.
