We've put together an article featuring a full write-up of the day and a lot of great photos. It can be seen here. A massive thanks to Heath at r2wTrials for his round-up, which provided the basis for the article and for his excellent photos! -
I wasn't a big fan of the edit really, but I thought the video was impressive! No different to most other TGS videos, but with some more impressive moves than manyI thought! Similarly, I don't mind the name, it's no better or worse than a lot of other trials brands around at the moment...

Fair do's guys. I was thinking of heading up to Shipley, but I can't really afford it this weekend. Anyone fancy the last round of the Tykes on the 18th? I'll be driving from Sheffield in the morning so if anyone wants a lift/convoy, give me a shout! Josh, I might be going up on the Saturday for a bit anyway, but will definitely be going on the Sunday - let me know what time you're free and I'll meet you there. Dunc, where the moto trial? might come along and watch (if I can convince the mrs that it's a good idea!). Is it open for practising when there's no comps on?
-
Fair do's. Let me know about Sunday. I'm probably going to head up on Saturday for a bit anyway, so give me a ring if you change your mind Do you fancy riding the last round of the Tykes on the 18th as well? I'm driving from here so can give you a lift if you want?
-
yeah mate! I've got a rare free weekend this weekend, so I'm going to be heading up to the common on Saturday and/or Sunday (check out the thread I put up the other day) if you fancy it? If not, I'm up for a street ride or an hour or two in endcliffe park most evenings - let me know. I texted you the other day about this weekend - did you not get it?
-
Good work! Like the new bike

Most of the trials stuff was at Surprise View near Hathersage, it's not bad but I've been caught by the bloody warden too many times now! running out of fake names and they're definitely going to recognise me and cotton on soon!
-
I've got a rare free weekend coming up and will be riding up at Wadsley Common in Sheffield on either (maybe both) Saturday or Sunday this week (3rd & 4th Oct) if anyone fancies it? Kenny? Josh? Jace?
-
I'm nearly 26 and I've been riding about ten years. It gets a bit depressing when I get the results sheets through from comps and I've been beaten (regularly) by people ten years (or more!) younger than me who've been riding for a year or so.... I still have fun though, which is want counts to me!
-
I looked into doing this a few years ago (I sidehop to the right and was sick of ruining mech hangers etc). The trouble is, the only LHD hubs available wouldn't really stand up to trials riding; the threads on your cranks etc. would be backwards due to swapping sides (and so would come undone/f*ck themselves as you pedalled); in order to run a mech hanger you'd pretty much have to get a frame custom made to have gears fitted on the left etc. etc. All in all I decided it just wasn't worth the bother (if it was, someone would have come up with it a while ago I reckon) and that at the end of the day there was no real advantage to having LHD on a trials bike and just learned to sidehop better.
-
Fair do's lad, that does look like fun. Don't see why you couldn't have kept the trials going too though
