On Sunday the 19th of April the Braga trials park played host to the second round of the Portuguese Biketrials Cup, which was won by João Sousa. Write-up, results and a few photos here.

Should've saved it for the video! so, I've done a re-edit and could feasibly submit my video now. Thing is, I'm not too happy with the re-edit, as I had to mute all the sound from the previous video (talking and bike noises etc.), so wanted to know whether the re-edit was necessary or if it's OK to submit the original video (filmed and edited over the summer)?

I figured that those who didn't know that he's a trials rider, would work it out from the context - trials forum, article on a trials web-magazine... no?

On Friday evening the Swiss Sportsman and woman of the Year 2008 were named in Lausanne by the Fondation de l’Aide Sportive Suisse (Swiss Sporting Aid Foundation). Loris Braun won the male award and the female award went to Olympic BMXer Jenny Fähndrich. Both riders will receive a monthly bursary over the next year. Full article and photos here.

The Conseil Général of Vendée organised a one day bike festival over the May bank holiday weekend, with Vincent Hermance as guest of honour! Two videos, a collection of photos and a transcript of a short interview (in English) can be seen here.

The new Ozonys website has been put online. A lot simpler and easier to navigate, it shows all of the current Ozonys products, as well as the new products for 2009, including the Curve 20!

same, they look like a lot of fun! If I can't sort out a full time translation job for September onwards I may even move over there for a year or so and try and find one there!

The first round of the Rhônes-Alpes Championship took place on the 26th of April in Chambéry; an on-form Aurelien Fontenoy dominated the Elite competition, putting in an excellent performance. Write up, results and photos here.

We recently published an interview with Nº1 Portuguese rider Joao Sousa, in which he talks about his season, the Portuguese trials scene and his recent switch to 26". The English translation is now online here.

I've just found it on my hard drive and at 12 minutes it's a bit of a whopper! If I re-edit it down to a more suitable length, that should keep everyone happy?

I've got a video that I made over the Summer and never really got round to uploading that would be perfect for this! Would it be allowed as an entry as it's not new or been made specifically for this? I really like the sound of this, but I've got assessed translations and a dissertation to be doing and haven't really got the time to make a video...
