  1. Yup, the trial's been cancelled unfortunately. The smaller roads around the Glen haven't been gritted and it's not safe to drive on them (or at least that was the case a couple of hours ago!) It was blizzarding all the way from Sheffield, I got as far as the top of the hill just outside Baildon and had to turn back - I couldn't even see the road! If people are still going up to ride, please be very careful on the roads! I'm not sure if the sections are still marked out, if they are - have fun! Hopefully see you all at the next round! Good news that we're going to Shipley in March! We'll have to try and remember which sections we were going to use - there was some fun stuff in there!

  3. Just got in from setting the sections with Brian, Mick and Jack. There's some interesting stuff for all routes - can't wait to ride them tomorrow!
  4. Toni Bou on his Kamel 231 - The three-time indoor and outdor moto World Champion has also been a Biketrial World Champion and draws a lot of his inspiration form Biketrials. 8. He started out riding biketrials and then moved on to the motorbikes. I didn't realise he was that good though - he got da skillz! But not a helmet, apparently

  10. No probs - wouldn't like the weekend to be double booked! Let me know as soon as you've got anything prepared and I'll stick it up on the site
  11. This sounds brilliant! I'll definitely be coming along! If you write any press releases etc., send them over and I'll publish them on Tribal Zine, and we'd certainly like to cover the event and put up any photos or videos (with links to the makers' sites etc.) afterwards. If we can do anything else to help out, let me know *EXCITED* EDIT: there's a Tyke Trial round on the 9th of May and a national on the 16th, so it might be a good idea to avoid those dates
  12. Clever clogs... I'm a fan of Fer's riding, you can see that he's really progressed over the last couple of years Have to agree with Mark though, the second video is better, but would have been better itself if he'd rationed the slow-mo a bit. And get the lad on some rocks!

Kenny Belaey at Velofollies 2010 - A series of photos of the demo by Kenny Belaey and Andy Maschelin at Velofollies. 15. There's plenty of rocks wherever you go really, Stanage, Burbage and Higgar Tor are all really close to each other and Surprise View is a bit closer to Sheffield. The thing is, I've never been able to work out when's the best time to go to avoid the rangers - Every time bar a couple I've been kicked off and had my (made up) name taken by this one particular ranger. I guess it's just luck, but I'd like to know the secret!! That's why I'm so keen to know about this bridle path bit If you fancy riding the Tykes, get you entry forms sent off and I can give a couple of you a lift up on the 21st
  16. Yeah - why can't you go riding when I'm not busy eh? I'm away next weekend as well. Need to get some riding in sometime soon, it's the first round of the Tykes on the 21st! Fancy a little ridey somewhere on the 20th maybe? How does the bridle path compare to the rest of Stanage? The top bit is unreal, it goes on for miles!
  17. I LOVE stanage! Shame I'm in Germany this weekend! The hidden away bit sounds good - Ive been kicked of Stanage, Burbage, Surprise View and Higgar Tor more times than I can remember! You'll have to show me where it is one day Have fun anyway

Four bikes in the rain - Trial Mag issue 44 is out in France, with a group test of four top-of-the-range dual disc mods by the Tribal Zine staff!
  19. Is this the same Christiano Santos that came to the Bike Show in around '01/'02 on a Brisa 20" and blew everyone away? Good to see he's still riding if it is him!
  20. It's been a while! My 'real' job has been taking up all of my time lately and I haven't had any time to do any Triabl Zine translation. Should be back on track now, so here goes: K-124 Days 2010 - The event's official website is now online and competition registrations are open! The Inpulse website - Inpulse have uploaded their website, with a video of their top rider, Aurélien Fontenoy, to mark the occasions. Inpulse are also looking for UK riders for their factory team. Send your info (contact details, CV, comp results, photos videos) to Cédric Fontenoy at inpulsebikes@hotmail.fr! Tribal Zine & Focus Trial - Tribal Zine have joined forces with Focus Trial - we'll be helping them with English version of their new webzine that looks at trials from a more artisitic perspective, with the focus on photography and graphic design. Watch this space!
