yeah they tighten anti clockwise, i dunno how you will go about that being it on the back of your bike, on the front i use a centre punch. Put the tip in one of the small holes (easy ) on the freewheel and pedal the cranks backwards. I know that dosnt help you at all so i'm going back to my corner......

I use the echo team stem and zoo bars on my python, they are similar bikes and it works very well for me.
