  1. Yeah, I'm into the more trialsy side of things. The problem is, whenever I end up with a mod I like the thought of having a stock and vise versa I'm so fickle. Having one of each isn't really an option either.
  2. Righteo, basically since I started trials I've been swapping from mod to stock. I ride better on a mod but love stock bikes, gah, problemo! So I had a look at the onza zoot, is this much different to a 26"? Really want to ride stock but basically I'm too sh*te. Also, how short does it feel? Being 14 I find it pretty hard to ride long bikes, well that's my excuse, and coming from a 970wb mod it'd be a bit of a change for me. Views?
  3. Cheers guys, I'll try it in a vice tomorrow, if not I guess I'll have to grind it off. Thanks.
  4. Been having a go at getting the fixed cog off my cranks, going FFW. Tried most things, got a chain whip on it and some WD40 but it's pretty solid. Anyone done this before, should I try getting a blowtorch to it?
  5. Horizontal scaffold in my left ear, going for tongue next. Although it may have to be a mirror-needle jobby
  6. To be honest, if you're hoping to build up a reasonable standard DH bike, don't go for deores. My mate had some on his old 4X bike and after around a months use they were very unreliable and the power just wasnt there. Try and get some mono m4's, saints, avid juicy 5's etc. will be cheaper in the long term. also, www,southerndownhill.com, as said, great for buying/selling.
  7. It's basically roughing up your rim with an angle grinder, giving your brake more of a bite. Do a search, I'm sure somebody's made a topic about it.
  8. To be honest that's the exact guidelines I followed, I'll try once again with a syringe and water and tap it more. Out of interest, how do attatch the pipes to the bleed bolt hole/lever one? I've got a barbed fitting on it but is there a "proper" way to do it?
  9. I recently snapped the crossover on my rear maggy, bought a mini bleed kit, fitted a new crossover and went to bleed it. First I tried in the bath and it seemed fine when off the bike but when I put it on, there was absolutely no power and the lever blade came all the way in with the TPA on full. Then I thought I'd try with the syringe and magura blood, same thing, all went through fine but still no power! There are no leaks or anything and I'm so annoyed I can't ride at the moment so any help would be greatly appreciated
  10. Oh wicked, thanks. Does anybody know about cleanbikes delivery, how long is it? Thanks Oh and is it worth buying some braided hosing for it? Does this fit in the same way?
  11. Can anyone explain how exactly I change a magura crossover cable? I just snapped mine and need to know if I need new fittings or I can use my old ones. Also is it a hard job? Cheers
  12. In theory wouldnt it make the back wheel spin faster? Obviously it doesnt but hey. If your pedalling to turn a small chainring it's going to feel to be in an easy gear but if that small chainring is attatched to a larger one on the other side going to the rear cassette it's going to spin as fast as the small chainring and go round faster than normal? confused myself
  13. Not really looking for just a frame. I've found a toxsin short for sale, I'm thinking it might be too short though, any views? I'm about 5"8.
  14. Pretty sure it's a fuji something, can't find it on their site though
  15. Right click on picture, properties, copy that address.
  16. Cheers guys, got my heart set on a monty. Just need the budget to match
  17. I'm looking to get a short mod and really looking for some reviews, something along the lines of a monty, around 1000wb. Looking through some options and need some reviews from riders so fire away Cheers
  18. Is it only me they're not working for? Or am I being a retard?
  19. I just had an idea and thought would it be possible to have tyres, without tubes, made entirely from rubber? If they has small air pockets in them they would have some bounce and you could have bigger pockets to represent lower PSI's. It would eliminate snakebite, and would allow lower pressures to be run. They'd be a bitch to get on though
  20. Remember to sign the guestbook people
  21. You should be able to do it yourself easily, unless you get into anything technical , there shouldnt be anything that would give you problems, and I'm sure there must be sites that can help you with it. If you get stuck just do a search on google. It's not really something worth wasting money over, if you don't try you'll never learn.
