Sorry for all the threads lately it just seems i run into problem after problem. Just built my rockman isis up and cant get the right tension with a z610. The chain tension i just managed to get but the wheel is far back in the dropouts meaning my echo slaves are like this at the rim / \. With the wheel all the way forward in the dropouts the chain won't join so i have no option but to basically have the wheel were its sat now. Is there anyway i can get away without running a half link on it?? I am using a king with fun bolts on the rear, 18 -15 for anyone who asks..

I think thats were the problem lies then as the lad I got it said its bled with royal blood, this is probably whats causing it to react so slow,, anyone have any idea what should be used then? Tempted to try a thin based dot oil?

Its second hand off here, if its responsive out of the box wouldnt hurt to do a fresh bleed with oil then..

Just got my sl rear brake which is bled with oil at the moment, its not even on the bike yet but just pulling the lever it feels so slow compared to a water bled maggy. I see stans running one on his new bike anyone know if he or other people have had issues with leaking due to a water bleed? Another thing i noticed on stans is a four finger lever is it a direct fit or is it modded some way? Haven't had a good enough look to see properley..

Well your two options are to get a smaller tyre or run one half link, my choice would definately be the latter but I know your options for a 24 trials tyre are very limited. I used to run a 24 schwalbe big betty for a short time when i had my because, good tyre all round just makesure you get the softer compound one.

Think he is saying that on the ratio you are using you shouldnt need a half link, I dont know because I havent got a 24 echo. Yes a kmc with a half link is better than a full half link chain but inevitabley the weakpoint will be the one half link in the kmc. What gave you the impression they were stronger?? They are flawed by design as they usually snap on the crease were the link points inwards.

I will never ever run a half link chain again, I suggest you look at other options as its not if but when will it snap.

Might be up for this if the bikes built up get a few over..

The z510 is different isnt it, i think its thicker than the z6 but with the same tensile strength. I often wonder if the tensile strengths advertised are really accurate, i know failures are down to a number of things but i have seen the likes of the gusset tank chain snap fairly quickly.

Fail I snapped a couple of those,,i used to go through a few chains till I found the khe collapse, now I am in need of a new chain and the khe can't be had anywhere for some reason??? Gonna try the z610 I think if its good enough for benito it is for me.

I just received my dvds today from bjoern and they are without a doubt the best trials dvds you can get today. Get2 was good but the footage he has managed to get from across the globe is amazing. I got 5 dvds with over 5hrs worth of footage and when i say footage its like you are actually there, the filming, editing and music are top notch. Think i payed around £25 delivered which is nothing really.. Really recommend you get intouch with him and buy these you will be blown away. Highlights include hannes hermann and marc hosel training in extremely wet and muddy conditions, max koch riding the streets in germany, benitos lol rock riding at the end of limelight 3, abel mustieles killing it, Ali c's ballsy riding at buthiers, thomas ohler making everything look small, fontenoy bros street riding, felix mucke being felix mucke (loved his parts so flowy and smooth) Enough said, buy it.

Its also rappin 4 tay playas club, classic!! Loved the video soild riding with a nice feel, spot on edit.
