  1. I have just got me one of these it seems pretty nice, i no they do a 90mm one in 25.4 clamp, i think they might do a 100mm one too... might be worth a look?
  2. I'll sort out what shift i have to do at work that day, but i should be able to get there for 12.30
  3. Is the crust not denser than the middle bit of the bread?
  4. damn that pic! its used so much yet it always makes me jump!
  5. It just doesnt seem to be as fun these days. There used to be about 10+ riders around here, and now there is 2 or 3... I'm trying to build up a new bike to get some enthusiasm back into riding, but at the moment i'm riding with a bike thats 1/2 new and 1/2 for sale, none of it is working that great, and it just doesnt give me loads of confidence to try stuff.
  6. The A1 is made of U6 while the A2 is made of 6061... The A1 also has a built in brake booster...
  7. Is the BT jacket breathable? i would like it to be breathable, because otherwise i'll end up sweating like a pig (do pigs sweat?) Cheers for those links waynio.... i'll try and catch you on msn sometime
  8. Right, now winter is well and truely here, i'm wanting to get a waterproof jacket which is light weight and easy to move in so that i can ride in the rain, and not get too cold/ wet... What do you guys use? where from? and how much? Cheers, Alex.
  9. simple really... Why does toast always cook faster at the crust than in the middle... and especially fast at the corners? even though the middle is nearest the heat. I'm talking about when cooking under a grill, toasters might be different?!
  10. Zoo risers are 29" wide i believe, which is roughly the same as most other bars used for trials... they are wide for a reason :P This topic has just reminded me, i must order some bars... ^_^
  11. I fitted my rear hope mono trial yesterday after finding the front one to be absolutly amazing... at the moment it is pretty poop due to only riding it on the curb outside my house. But after a couple of proper rides, i'm sure it will perform well :) Like people have already said, the main reason people dont use them is because the frame's cant take the force. (Y)
  12. it just tells me i'm wrong when i get to B.
  13. I still could if i could be bothered to fix it all up. 18" kona scab, deore v-brakes (i up-graded). shimano hubs. Seat. i think it weighed 35lb+
  14. pretty sure the lightest bikes would be the echo es's... if there are any left :'(
  15. Andy P's old echo es3... It was so light and flicky. short with a mere 995wb, but it was also so stable on the back wheel, and just rode soo smoothly.
  16. Haha, should have just put it back how you found it :P if it works then its all good :P
  17. The steerer appears to be ok, it was just wobbleing like it does if you dont put the compression ring in the headset... :P
  18. I was out on a ride last week some time, and my headset felt loose... tried to tighten it up, and there was no joy. after closer inspection, i noticed that the top cup of my headset was moving in the frame... which to me, meant flaired head tube... Today i just decided to take it all apart, to see if i could do the "coke can bodge" so that i can still ride untill i get my new frame. Thats when i noticed this... has anyone else ever had this happen? I got the headset from CRC around 10 months ago, so although i could try for a warentee, i dont think its really worth the bother... pic1 pic2 pic3 I no the pics are of a low quality, but its the best i can do, and you get the idea anyway... Alex. P.s, anyone that is willing to donate the top cup from a cane creek S2 would be loved forever!!
  19. Is that not what the 18months of teat riding was about?
  20. I'm 6ft2, and i have just sold a 1020wb leeson, i loved it, i could ride it fairly well, but it started to give me back ache in the upper back where it made me hunch. I'm now riding a saracen m-a-d which is a 1055 wheelbase, although i have not measured it. It seems a nice length, but its only a stand in untill i get my 1085 toxsin. although the toxsin is a fair bit longer than the saracen, it will be run with a shorter stem, and it also has a bb rise, which will probably make it feel a similar length. What you need to do is experiment, ride other peoples bikes and see what you like. Short bikes tend to be better for buny hops, and spinny things due to them being more flicky. where as long bike are generally better for doing big up's and gaps etc... If you are un-sure then go for something inbetween. a 1040 koxx will probably be quite a good choice, because at the moment, you should find that its very nice and stable, and as you grow you will be able to chuck it about pretty easily :S
  21. so a bike that has 3 seat tubes and no seat looks more normal than a bike with one seat tube and a seat? :(
  22. I really havent got a clue... i gap as big as the gap i'm gapping... :(
  23. first car was a 1.1L renault 5 campus. great little run around. certainly did me proud! got 4 bikes in that car, although i could only take me and one passenger with them. haha. After a years no-claims, i'm now able to insure myself on my R reg ford mondeo 1.8 16v zetec. its not particularly quick, but better than a 1L saxo or somthing similar :D
