  1. Yea, my mate got loads knocked off with them too... I dunno if it's because I only had it from 1/2 way through the year or something. did you have it when you took out the policy?
  2. Well i paid £1200 for my insurance in my first year with tesco, did my pass plus about 1/2 way through that year, and they gave me £30 back, so that would be saving me £60 a year... thats 5% I was rather dissapointed with this to say the least, what with the course costing £120 in the first place, but decided that maybe i would save money on my second year (as i had been informed it would do by my instructor). I was never told at any point that you could only use pass plus once, untill i needed to re-new my insurance. All in all, doing the pass plus saved me £-90 It was a waste of time and money for me, so make sure you no you are actually going to save money before paying out to do the course. :)
  3. Are you sure it isnt us (being tax payers) that is paying you £30 a week... I doubt Tony Blair would want to help people out like that...
  4. When i first looked at the first clip, i thought it looked alright, but then i remembered its a mini, and therefore front wheel drive, and therefore shouldnt be doing that :) Good effort keeping it on the track :)
  5. well using a dense alloy in the construction of the egg box will make them more expensive than if the usual cardboard box is used...
  6. I'm up for tuesday afternoon/ evening/ whenever other people will be riding :D
  7. I find it depends on the surface as to weather i kick or not. If it is nice and smooth, then i will put a little kick in, if however it is bumpy, or there is an edge which the back wheel will go onto i'll place the back wheel on the point of it to give some extra spring rather than using a kick. There is no "proper" way to do it, its just whatever works for you. Lean over the front of the bike, and push down on the bars before you hop up the wall, this will flex your forks/ front tire, giving you abit more bounce, and just as you do so, let the bike lean towards the wall slightly, it just makes it easier to land on top. Also, if you angle the bike so that you have your front foot on the side of the bike away from the wall, you can get closer... hard to explain but it helps... just practice :(
  8. Sorry, i thought it was english is this better? i have clicked the continue button for you.
  9. That only applies if he is buying a complete bike. If it's just the frame, then they are all the same... if he get's the 05 one then its all good
  10. just start low and build up the height, once you get going, and have cleared a few reasonable heights you wil start to get more confident <_<
  11. I found when i was learning that Tesco was cheapest, all the supermarkets offer insurance, and normally at reasonable rates. But once I had done my test, Norwich Union beat the others by far <_< EDIT: I am planning on getting a kit car next year, and I am having trouble finding insurance companies which A: will insure kit cars, and B: insure me to drive a kit car. If anyone has done anything similar then who insured you? P.S, sorry for hi-jacking your topic "
  12. Dont worry about weather you are good enough. around that time there will be loads of group rides which you could go along to. <_<
  13. If you get a good quality pic of one, then I will do it. I just had a quick look on google, but they are all very low resalution <_<
  14. When your first getting started it won't really matter what bike you have. Most of the guys on here that started "back in the day" would have had a real tank of a first bike. The jackflash will be an alright starter bike <_< When your getting started you just progress at your own rate. If you have other people to ride with, then copy their techniques, and it will help you learn quicker. Also watching video's and trying to copy what people are doing in the video's will help  This forum has a very good vids section, which is always getting new footage put up :ermm: remember to have fun. We all ride for that reason, otherwise there is no point in doing it :S good luck :(
  15. I'll be getting me one of these next week, its a similar price to the other two, and seems alright for the money <_<
  16. I would say get a bigger bike and restrict it to 33bhp, it will be a much more comfortable ride than a 125. As for the lesson's i can't help you as i drive a car <_<"
  17. you can take apart a casette and use the spacers from that. Why do you need 10mm of spacers? thats a silly amount <_<
  18. They have told you what to do, it works thats what most people do. Watch the vid fatmike posted for you, and do as it does... >_<
  19. have you looked at the vario frame? I'm looking to get a new frame, and I'm edging towards this at the moment. It will probably feel shorter than your koxx, but you might like to take a look :ermm:
  20. No disrespect if your correct, but the names don't really tie up, and brothers would normally have the same sur name?
  21. What happened to the hayes that you had? :ermm:
  22. I said A, you could make it so that the top two layers of draws are small, like in that picture, and the bottom two layers are bigger, so that the cables will fit (Y)
