Koxx Karbon

Had this frame for about 6 months now and am very comfortable on it , having always wanted to find one of these sadly discontinued beauties . Recently added a whole bunch of shiny componentry in anticipation of a good Summer's riding .

Wasn't terribly keen on the Koxx graphics , so whited ' em all except that glorious laquered toptube .

The previous owner felt it necessary to drill the headtube  ( former ) flagship model competition frame too heavy for you , Sir ?

V brakes and a King hub , so why the Hell can't I ride as smoothly as Felix Mucke now ? :$

One of my favorite frames too. Can I get a side shot of the V brake setup? Great looking bike!

Thanks ! Behold :

Onza adaptors and my trusty old blue booster , literally used on every trials bike I've owned since probably the early 90's ! ^_^ Plenty of controllable stoppin' power , even without exotic pads . These are just the generic clear Barradine / trialtech ones chewing on a semi sharp grind :

I wonder if Mr.Clarkson's approval is related to my rejection of hydraulics ? :giggle:

those Karbon's are absolute porn!

They sure were / are . You're from Holland- whereabouts ? I'm in Den Haag , pop me a PM if you wanna ride some time. Mr. Greetings - I've run those rims forever although only a year or so ago did I build it onto a :king: before then it was all Hopes ( often bought through our very own for sale forum .)

My beloved Base frames only just accepted those absurdly wide Try All rims and I had to contend with major V brake arm protrusion , but they offered massive stability .

I recently sold the Karbon to a beginning rider , thus ensuring good trials Karma for this season !

I had one of these in 2007-2008 with dual vees!

This spring, i bought TRA's old frame and built it up. Seriously the best frames ever :)

Dual Vees are good! Rear vees have extremely good hold, but not soo good bite as a Maggie.

Front vees have good bite and hold.

That booster isn't necessary on that frame although, if it's already on there...

Sweet bike though. Only word of caution though is keep an eye on those adapter mounts. I've snapped two in a just under a years time. And if you go to anything with a CNC backing, sans maybe the TNN ones with the recessed cone washer, you'll be using the outer mounting hole, which makes it even more susceptible to snappage from leverage.

Sweet bike though, I also have one and she rides like a dream!!!

They really do help though as it removes the flex you get in the vee bosses, increases hold a lot!

Lovely looking machine :)
