Ashton "fender" Seats

Recommended Posts

hi this is a bit early to be properly thinking about this (bike is a fair few parts missing) but i want to get a ashton fender seat to give my t-rex a more moto look obviously i'd need to knock up a bracket to make it fit from the seat plate the onza's have but that shouldn't be to hard.

does anyone know a store/site stocking them?

n.b. i'm not fussed about weight before anyone mentions as i'll just work my strength up to suit the rig

May be worth giving tartys a ring to see if they can get hold of them seperate to the frames or if they've got some that people who bought the frame didn't want. You may get lucky!

mm good plan will ring em once i get the bike actually ridable lol

they do look pimp though i was gonna knock on up from a rear bike mudgaurd an some random other bits but it'd be like having an old ddg sofa seat, like all the dh riders years ago

I doubt they're avaliable seperately.

I wonder if manuel on here knows more though, seeing as he's part of the team.

Maybe you could make one out of sheet alu?

my metal skills were in tube manipulation so doin a sheet fender seat would be too hard lol, makin a bracket is pretty easy though

you can make one in vacuum forming

its really easy and you can make it in any shape and size you wont

make the shape from some MDF boards glow togther and then smooth it with dremel

you can make it from a 3m"m Polycarbont i think

i sorta remember that from high school, may see if fair oak's d.t. teachers remember me (or at least ones i didn't p!ss off)

3mm poly would prob be perfect

I was actually going to do that but decided that i couldn't be bothered.

I asked tartybikes a while ago and they said no.

hmmm damn you tarty, may just wait till drop on one on ebay, someone splittin an ashton

and a.b.s.polymer or perspex will be great for you
