Formula Rx1 Disc Brakes

Please don't buy Formula brakes! They're shit piss and some more. The power is not decent, but most of all: The quality sucks! My first rear Formula RX leaked after a week! The second front one leaked in the box... My dad had Formula brakes on his MTB too, and they where shit too..

My best investment ever was buying Shimano saints:)

comparing these pictures, it seems that the rotors are identical. So couldn't there be a way of just simply taking it off?

dont use a formular brake you will be disapointed. very disapointed

the saint would cost him more as he needs to buy rotor and mount aswell

Yeah it might cost him more, but it's a investment that is totally worth it!

I knew as soon as i'd seen you'd commented on a thread about disc brakes that you'd recommend shimano saints ;)

Yeah, I was thinking of buying these, but because I'm from Europe (Latvia), I use the front brakes with a left hand lever.

Anyway, I got the formulas really cheap and I hope that they will be better than my leaking Echo's.

Lucky guy. The formula brakes seem to be hit and miss. Buy one and if it feels crap or even not quite right then get another on warrany until you get a good one. Then just keep it nice and clean dirt, saly and brake dust is kyriptonite to formulas avids and all magnesium alloy brakes

I had a Formula Oro a few years back. Best disc brake i've ever had so i wouldn't be too concerned about the other comments!

I would be concered because formula makes shit brakes (atleast now). Your brake might have been good, compare it to the new brakes like hope or saint and I think you would be quiet ;) If he buys them, he's doing a hell of a big mistake...
