monkeyseemonkeydo
While we're on the subject of Eebs in 2025 I find it quite cool that Megamo are now making ebikes with DJI motor systems (both carbon and ally versions available too which is nice): https://www.megamo.com/en/e-bike/e-full-suspension For some reason they only sell in Spain but look pretty good. MadManMike
Yeah they look nice! You can hardly tell they're an eeb, compared to the massive fat tubes you get on most of them.
CurtisRider
I ended up taking a punt on a Raymon Trailway 140, I think its pretty tough to beat for £2100! Upgraded from Sram to Shimano drivetrain but otherwise it's mostly stock

MadManMike
Loving the bike so far, my time is a bit limited these days but I did a 60km ride a couple of weeks ago and 22km tonight - still coming back soaked in sweat and with burning legs, so ebikes aren't entirely cheating. Plan is to use the ebike until next summer, gradually sorting my "proper" bike over winter, ready to hit some trails once my fitness is up a bit more. It's a ZTTO 220mm (2.3mm), so far I'm impressed with it, especially for under £9! I've got a particularly painful wrist/hand currently so that's why I fitted it, certainly packs a punch and that's on Sram G2R brakes with stock pads (not known for having much power) On 7/24/2025 at 11:13 PM, MadManMike said: Loving the bike so far, my time is a bit limited these days but I did a 60km ride a couple of weeks ago and 22km tonight - still coming back soaked in sweat and with burning legs, so ebikes aren't entirely cheating. I've found both of mine great for in between rides on my regular bikes, I use them for Zone 2 riding mainly as they make the journey far more interesting (and it seems to work for me) Edited July 28 by CurtisRider
