Joe was wearing a tie? I thought he'd just got some ribbon and tied a knot in it round his neck ;)

Either way, especially if it's for something like the Army/Navy/RAF, do it formal.

Maybe try and wear some crotchless trousers and crotchless boxers too, it'll get you in the sailor way of doing things. They'll appreciate the effort you went to ;)

f**k taking a change, wear a suit shopping and see how differantly your treated when you go into expensive shops and shit.

Maybe that's weird?

Anyway, a suit should go down well, appearances are some silly percentage of first impressions and like others have said, it'll give you the edge over those who choose not to wear one.

I was gonna suggest he kept the suit on and went out on the town - ladies love a well dressed man - plus if he gets the job he can claim he's shipping out in the morning and get some easy pooontang

Hahaha. We had the royal navy people come to our school and tech us about interview techneiques.

The Keys To A Good Interview. (acording to the army/navy/airforce)

1.You should wear suit and tie

2. Shake the interviews hand (nice strong grip)

3. Always make eye contact.

4. Be as friendly as posable.

5. Be as open as possable.

6. Don't slouch but lean in.

7. Smile :D

8. Give detailed answers to questions.

9. Talk your self up as mutch as possable don't give any neg points about your self unless requested.

10. Be confident but not cockey.

Hope these help and good luck (Y) .

all good stuff.

and...

you should be positive about stuff they ask about rather than negative.

eg. if you quit your last job cos it was shit don't tell them that, tell them you wanted to do something that challenged you more or suited you better.

Well, i wore a suite and tie to the interview in the end and it must have worked beacause i passed it, soo happy now.

even wore the suit round brum after and you do get treated a lot better, its kinda weird from what im used to.

Good job, well at least I hope it is!

I'd have done the whole suit thing ages ago, if I had one. Proper trousers add inches onto me though, compared to when im wearing baggy jeans, which is all the time....
