We’ve seen plenty of smashed Ferrari Enzos but this is the first time we’ve across images of a wrecked Bugatti Veyron. Information is sketchy, but it’s thought that a pool of water on the road caused the AWD supercar to lose traction and then spin out of control, sending it head first into a ditch on a road near Shepperton in the UK. Most of the cabin section and engine compartment look relatively undamaged, however, it’s hard to determine what internal damage to the drivetrain there is if any. Hopefully the driver got out unscathed.

According to the source, this is the first time a private customer has actually crashed a Veyron. Engineers reportedly destroyed two prototype examples during testing, which was part of the reason for the long delays during the vehicle’s development.

I bet the valve caps are aswell, but thats not the point. He put it in a ditch and smashed the front end.

Its not like he intended to crash it fred! Ok he was prob going to fast for the conditions, but looking at that road, he could have just been caught out by mud or something! it happens.

i wonder what the cops have said to him, "so you crashed your veyron traveling at 60 on a nice bit of road like that did you? ;) "

if he was speeding which i think he was then it's his own fault

i agree, but i bet that thing does like 60 in first anyway so i'm sure it'll be tough to keep it under any limit.

i'm not that fussed to be honest, i cringed more on that rally crash video somone posted when 6r4's and escort cosworths were flying off the road.

i was all like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

A friend of mine went in a ferrari 612 on sunday and said, whilst travelling down a dual carriage way, they looked down at the speedo to see 130mph. Said it felt like they were doing 30, not 130. And also going on what James may said on top gear, my guess is that these cars can easily doing double the speed of a average performance car on the same road. So even if he was doing 100+, Id say he was within the limits of the car. This is on another forum im on and a guy on there who knows that ^ road says its notoriously slippy. Meh. It was rented apparently aswell, 20k a day.

doesn't matter how good the car is, your reactions are the same...

And don't forget how he was saying about being disorientated when slowing down.

Obviously i'm not saying he was going 253mph, but must have same effect just everythings a bit slower.
