Cleaning up Try-All Karbons

I'm pretty sure these forks have a normal gel coat on them and no clear coat as such. You can even out the scratches using sand paper (600, then 1000) and then polish them out. Spraying a clear coat on the forks might work in the short run but I'd expect flaking to occur sooner or later.

I thought you only gel coat fiberglass/carbon fiber?

Surely you only clear coat to protect paint?
