Your post is what I would class as critisism/voicing an opinion, this is how it should be done, but insulting someone is NOT, that is all I'm saying. Maybe no one else does care, maybe it's just me that gets sick of childish arguments that have nothing to do with trials, but posts that are not trials orientated get moved to chit chat so in my opinion posts that aren't should get moved/deleted too, they are a waste of space! Almost every thread on TF with a decent number of replies seems to contain an unnecessary slagging match. It's really boring the hell outta me because I'm not here to listen to people insulting each other! So... 1. If you disagree with someone don't just leave a post saying "idiot" or "twat" or "dick". None of these words are valid arguments, you may as well say "I'm and idiot" or "I'm a twat" or "I'm a dick"! 2. We can all take a joke, 1handedluke insults my mother on a daily basis and it's hillarious, but it's hard to tell when someone is "only kidding" when you can't hear the tone of their voice, ie in a post on the forum. Use common sense, if you're kidding then say so or you're gonna get peoples backs up! 3. Finally, if you really can't help your childish impulses and you absolutely must insult one another then for god sake do it on PM as no one else cares a damn... ok? The problem with Rolhof is most of us don't have £50 to spend on a chain tensioner, don't know about you but I think that's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on keeping your chain tight! Davey

Ah man I LOVE these memory lane threads, they're great! Ok, erm first bike memory is riding a big wheel (those tricycle things) into a bush outside my house when I was about 4, and I was well chuffed when I got my first bike with air filled tyres, haha, oh the comfort! First trials memory is backwheeling kirbs and thinking I was the muts nuts, then everything was about how many bricks you could backwheel, 4 bricks was like this massive achievement, haha! Oh and while on the memory lane trip, who else remembers wanting one of those chain tensioners that attach to your chain stay, and all becasue Martyn Ashton had one........ but they were rubbish! I run 16t up front and 13t at the rear (before anyone asks no it's not mod it's stock)! Only started running this ratio last night and my riding has improved dramatically already, but this ratio is pretty much the same as 22-18 anyway so it won't be much different to what you're used to now! Davey

Well last night was very productive. I've been running a rather light gear ratio and never thought anything of it, but when it comes to big gaps or big anything really "I can ne' do it cap'n, I don't have the p'wer!" Some little genuis called Tom sugested trying a harder ratio, so fair play I gave it a whirl and after a bit of getting used to, my god, suddenly everything seemed a little bit smaller, was flippin brilliant!! The only problem with this idea is I've been waiting for them to arrive for ages and this would mean waiting even longer (I'm not a patient man) and to be honest I just want to get them on my bike and start riding!!! Ok, I've called them and they asked if I was sure it wasn't right, hahaha! Anyway, they would replace it if I posted the set back first but that'd take forever so I have had to buy a left hand one off them to get them to post it out priority post today, and they will credit me back when they receive the incorrect right hand one back in the post (which I have sent via special delivery just now)!
