  1. So, I have heard many things about this mysterious Tongue character, but I've hardly found any footage of him riding at all. I've seen him riding a teeny bit of bmx in a roadtrip video lately, a natural video of him on some rocks, and about a minute of amazing demo riding (at a bike show). But something tells me there must be more! Does anyone have any videos or know where they can be found? I feel I am missing something important in world history... It would be much appreciated.
  2. I think I just worked out what the 660 and 609 numbers are all about... didn't take me long...

All the arguing hurts me deep inside... Thanks for the info, no doubt when I'm back at uni (Southampton) I'll be taking a trip to that skatepark on the train or something. A few weeks ago I drove past there in a coach and it looked awesome, was just trying to work out if it was the same place! Whoops just looked back and realised the post before me said it was Romsey It will be fun just the same
  4. I have to confess that after reading the comments I haven't watched the video, but at least you did something right.

Really loved that! I have 2 questions: Is that Sean the guy who is threesixty on here who I met in Southampton a while ago? and where is that skatepark? It looks very much fun! Great riding from both, and I liked some of the shots like the wave thing. Have to say a Youtube link for those us us who have come home for Easter to slow internet wouldn't go amiss...
  6. Confusing post but very true!
  7. Can't say I've seen any but it would be pretty cool! p.s. your topic title was really informative...
  8. Haha some of that was pretty funny. I love the ones where people are just doing kinda stupid things that aren't really riding at all and still fall off... And when people fall off really little stuff! (1'16") And when people fall off really slowly... And when people fall off, get their bike back and then fall over it! That really is genius (54") Thanks for sharing all that
  9. Cool, I quite liked that. I'm gradually learning to differentiate between boring non-streety vids and good non-streety vids (I am one of the manually street people) and that was definitely a good one. I liked when you gapped from the wall to the blue rails in a play area or somewhere... the perspective made me think you were going somewhere different!
  10. The best trials rider at any given time is the one who… can make me think, when watching them ride, that there is still way more potential in trials riding than has yet been realised.
  11. Looks like the latest testing ground for Maxxis next-generation Ultra-Tyres! More seriously, if that really was an anti-Tunnicliffe measure (which looks less likely now that we can see how old it seems to be), then it makes me a little bit sad... the post box is an awesome bit of iconic bike riding in my opinion. I'm pretty sure post boxes are tough enough to take it anyway!
  12. Haha yes. I found out when my 25.4 post arrived... It was from Wiggle though so they just take it back if it doesn't fit. After a trip to a bike shop to use their calipers, it seemed like exactly what you're describing (which would make sense really) but I ordered a 26.8 seat post and a 28.6 clamp in the hope that they would fit, and that I'd be able to file them if they didn't. I didn't manage to find a 30.0mm clamp anywhere though, which is why I ordered a 28.6. Is that definitely what you have? Where did you find it?! The measurement of the frame was like 28.9 I think so I'm just hoping it will fit... not sure how easy filing the inside of a clamp would be! Cheers for the help. I'll do a bike pics thread when it's all sorted.
  13. Ridiculously bouncy as ever
  14. That was quite an enjoyable experience. Very much looking forward to more! By the way, in my humble opinion, the first X-up in derf's post looks better. The clicked one just looks a less-than complete x-up until you try and trace where his arms go and stuff. I know it would be a bit different to watch in real life or video than a still picture, but I'd still prefer to see a nice controlled 180 degree normal x-up than a mega clicked one. Just me. Steve_A had a streety ass mod vid didn't he? I remember it was really cool but I don't think I have it except on my parents' computer... As for why not, I'm not sure how to put it into words but I can tell you I wouldn't really want to. And if I have my history right didn't Steve_a go to 24"? EDIT: A comment on msn from my good friend Gilly EDIT MORE: Found it! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....=43594&st=0 Watch that AWESOME video and be educated. Watch him try and X-up with that massive mod stem... it was never meant to be. Sorry if the thread got hijacked.
  15. Haha that was cool. High speed one foot slides all round! How to take riding not too seriously. Yeah that guy was like a mountain bike power ranger!
  16. Ok, cheers, I will have to ask around in search of some calipers. It's steel by the way. Maybe I could just have a look and make a decent guess at the thickness of the tubing and times by 2 and add that on to 25.4? The clamp size is just the outside diameter of the seat tube yeah? Thanks
  17. Ok I've got a seat and a post ordered now, just need to know about the clamp size (see above) i.e. Do you buy the same size clamp as seat post or are they different sizes? ps thanks anyway leedstrials
  18. Right, topic recycled, I've ordered a seat post and a saddle, now I just need to know about clamp diameters. If my seat post diameter is 25.4mm, do I also need a 25.4mm seat clamp? Or do I need a larger seat clamp to take into account measuring the outside rather than the inside of the seat tube of the frame? Anybody? Cheers
  19. Sorry I was mega slow, been away in Scotland for a bit... I haven't measured the bike with my forks on or anything but the geo for the frame should be: Wheelbase 1040 Chainstays 385 BB height +10 Head angle 73 It's got a seat post, although I haven't purchased a seat yet... it's black... can't think of a lot else but I will make a topic of my own when I've got a seat and get round to it etc And, rather importantly, I had my first ride on it last week and it was sweeeeeeet! Now I just need to remember how to ride trials after a couple of months off...
  20. That is rather beautiful! Really nice bike. I'm a bit excited cos on Monday I'm going home to meet my new Iolo 26"...
  21. Roughly how often do you buy a new frame c because mine have broken... but I believe a frame should last a lot longer. How much do you spend on a frame g about £100 before but this time £390 Is a custom geometry important c What's important is that the geo is perfect for you, If a mass-produced frame was exactly what I wanted then that would be fine. Do you prefer frames to be handmade c Which of the following is most important to you when buying a frame b Would you buy from a newly started company a I would say no, excecpt I think I have recently done just that... Would you prefer a frame to be cheaper or have added extras(I.E different drop-outs, integral booster) b Since I think a frame should last, it should be as good as possible.

    *best Of Partz*

That was quite entertaining, a few quality bails and the stills at the skatepark in time with the music made me laugh too.

That was pretty mad! Impressive riding
  24. Thanks for uploading JJ. The riding was really good there was just hardly any of it!
  25. Very cool pictures! I'm loving this one: Not to mention the bail pic!
