  1. JEEZ MAN THANKS FOR THE AWESOME HELP. We already KNOW it's something to do with that, as that's what a rear wheel comprises of. Where did you get it trued? If it was you LBS you shouldn't be having troubles like that, to be honest. If it was you who did it, or a friend, have a feel of the spokes. The wheel comes out of true much easier when it's loose. Is it deffinately the rim buckling, or could it be one side of the axle slipping in the dropouts? (ie. is the whole wheel wonkey, or is it deffinately a buckle each time?)
  2. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! You're older than me, Danny. Just so you know. FIVE WHOLE YEARS OLDER. HAHAHA. Happy Birthday

    Predicament!

Just before anyone mentions otherwise - the "No" was me. I am beggining to be persuaded though

    Predicament!

Not quite accurate, but the same effect. It was a DIYed table router. ie. A hand router, mounted upside down into a table. It didn't have them removed - they just never got fitted. The blade came through a fence, but there is a device that stops the wood from shooting back, which is what happened. EDIT: I also asked him about claiming compensation - not sueing. I believe there's a difference. I wasn't going to make a thread - as I didn't want to get shouted at for not having done it already, but seeing as it's already been done...

    Predicament!

No - I did - and I'm being a twat about claiming. I don't agree with it, and dick'ead here decided to let me know in a deffinate manner that it'd be a good idea. It's not the whole finger, but it's about half of my front braking finger. Edit: Beated.
  6. I don't read either of them - but why is this?: Edit: By that, I mean why is there 2?
  7. Why? I was really enjoying that. It was a shit topic that already got answered within the first two posts anyway. And - apologies to OP if I'm wrong - but the chances are stacked pretty highly on this being a troll.
  8. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaspect ratio... PLEASE... It's not hard. Tools > Options. Set it to 16:9. Then it'll look right. (I assume you're using WMM) Nice effort
  9. Just a wee adverticement bump... I put these on with a new bleed and a fresh (very badly executed) grind. Went out for a ride, dragged my brake a bit on the way there. Got half way there - and it's only a 5 minute ride away - and they started honking. Got to the spot, and they were putting out some serious volume. Out-loudnessing (<--Hahaha) a grind + tar + koxx's.... I didn't mention that it was raining. Well... It was After an hour, I could pull the brake, and put a full bodied jump on the forwards pedal. You'd be lucky if it got a squeak. May aswell have been welded in place. Seriously... Get them. Best. Pads. Ever.
  10. ...Take a look out the window? Ohhhhhh, right... you mean for the ride? How about you check THIS bloody website? Don't know how to search/use iGoogle? No worries... There's a new fangled company called BBC. Try checking their website, and have a look around.

'Bout time for a new'un'n'all, I reckon. ......................(^^^^^^^ Oh hells yeah.)
  13. That was rather bloody good. Is everyone in France stupid rich? Never seem to see one without a hydroxx, boxx, coust or atomz.
  14. Look cool as f**k though I really like that. Would deffinately have one myself - even with the spec. Can't afford a bike though
  15. A bit more variation/choice in the 24" realms would be nice - but I reckon if there was TOO many more than we currently have, shit'd get a tad confusing.
  16. So they DO get rub?! Cripes - I wasn't aware of that. Never mind then
  17. Who came with me the other night was Edd Potts ~ Dave85 on here. I was just around at Kris's house (he's a good mate). I'm going to try the K-Jet system first as I've read it's more reliable when using higher lifting cams than carb's though I think this is going to be very much trial and error
  18. Unless I'm missing something, that's not what I meant. The pads are about 3.5/4mm from the rim - loads of TPA to make it work. I'll check my dropouts for cracks when I get home.
  19. My grandad helped "dig" that
  20. So I hadn't even TOUCHed the wheelbuilds since I bought it complete in January. Jesus... Doesn't seem like a year :| ...Anyway - a couple weeks back, every time I put some power down, I got this horrid grinding noise. Moved the pistons out and just bunged the TPA all the way in for the rest of the ride. Leave it over Christmas, as I forgot it was dying - and then came to ride it the other day. I tightened everything evenly, (why did no-one inform me it's so soothing to sort a wheel out? I really enjoyed the process this time around ) and even got that elusive buckle out that was there, then not, and then there, then not... etc. [/2nd_ramble] It feels infinately better. I hadn't realised just how bad a shape it was in. Feels more springy, flicky, and controlled All from a tighter wheelbuild, and a few extra PSI. Now - the problem is, I'm still getting the grinding noise every now and then. Not NEARLY as often, but when I really go for it... The spokes are tight enough that I wouldn't want to tighten any more, for fear of stripping the threads. Slave prongs are both about 2mm away from the rim, which is now absolutely buckleless (to me - within 1mm... hell - I'll bend over and blow my trumpet - HALF A MILLIMETER). Now it's not really a problem, as I can go full out for a sidehop, and it's fine - just occasionally on starting a rolling gap's runup. (Rollup/rideup?) Before you cunning little buggers point it out - I know it's time for some new pads... But I'm skint These ones that are so dead are KoolStop Reds that I found in the bottom of my spares box, and I only moved onto them 'cause my Magura Blacks suffered the same fate. Heh :$ Any help offered would be very well recieved Cheers.
  21. Ok - you're free to go I know - I've ridden with him since he's been on it a few times - I'd just assumed he'd've kept the Adamant too. (By the way - try saying the word "solely" in the middle of a long sentance. It's a right b*****d of a word...)
  22. :$ I like it. Short+higher stem is in high levels of want, though.
  23. This...... Is this from the Ford avert? Even if not, it looks fun. I really wish I would start playing agin
