  1. Only change your brakes if your current ones are holding you back e.g. slipping.
  2. You run your front brake handle on the left!?!? But yeah it should fit, i think.
  3. Yeah that bike looks sweet. I'm liking the ideal of double disk more and more now . Especially after i saw this video. Gay music but incredible skill http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O41KUy7Fo7A
  4. The quality of the photos is awesome. Some of the best photos i've seen I guess you have a pretty nice camera.
  5. It really depends on your budget. But i would suggest: Wheels = mavic rims on hope pro 2 hubs. Easton EA70 bars raceface diabolous stem truvative husselfelt cranks + bb sram X9 mechs and shifters ( get sram X0 rear mech if you can afford it ) gusset slim jim pedals( nice and wide ) SDG bel air RL saddle SMICA seat post ( quite hard to find but a real bargain) All in all this would make a pretty nice bike . But of course if you gave me a budget it would be much easier to pick parts.
  6. I think that if you have the money it's a worthwhile upgrade The main difference that you'll feel is the fork, a new one will be much lighter than the onza original and so make backwheel maneuvers easier. the fork i suggest is the echo lite '07 - it's great value. For you front wheel I think that either the hope XC or Pro 2 will do depending on your budget. Both come with disk mounts and look bling . A nice rim is the echo '07. Finally, the disk brake I would go for if i was you is the avid ball bearing 7. Not only is it half the price of some other brakes, it also outperforms many of them! At the end of the day it's up to personal preference, but these components are good choices and will make quite a difference to how your bike looks and performs. EDIT Oh, i didn't realise you still had the original bars and stem. If i were you i would put the disk brake upgrade on hold and look at bars and stem. They will make a bigger difference for alot less money
  7. If your current bb works fine then don't bother. This bb will probably fit ( not 100% sure ) on your frame, but if you run a front free wheel then it is too short .
  8. I have no experience of the onza bars but if i were you i would pay the extra £5 and get the ZOO!'s. This is because they are not only tried and tested but also a fair bit lighter
  9. If you are thinking of buying one new then it's worth looking at the avid ball bearing 7 first. It's around the same price but has better performance in my opinion.
  10. Sounds like you've got a bit of a bargain there . What does the company get out of it?
  11. With new pads you'll be fine .
  12. In my opinion disks are better, but its alot more expensive and you'll probably have to get new forks aswell.
  13. Yes it's a perfectly sensible idea. People do it all the time
  14. For the brake pads i know that the heatsink blues are good for the front. Also, i haven't tried them but the BT yellows are a very soft compund and are probably worth a look. As for the pedals i have a pair of the slim jims myself and love the shape (much better than v8's). I've managed to wear the pins down quickly but luckily they come with spares.
  15. Erm, im not sure if this will make the situation better or worse but you could show her some videos of the pros. Or you could get one of your freinds to come to your house and demonstrate what a good sport it is to her. Maybe you could get her to tell you the reason for not leting you do it and then persuade her?
  16. Ok guys, i see that your all trying to save money by using oil substitutes such as water, cooking oil etc. but the only substance which is guaranteed to work in your brakes is proper brake oil. Personally i think that the magura stuff is overpriced and so i use shimano: LINK. At £12 a litre i think it's well worth the money
  17. Do the ones from CRC not come with cables or lever? If not, which lever would you suggest
  18. Yea the BB7 is a great choice. Cheapest i've found it is chain reaction cycles. £55
  19. I have a T-pro too I run a ZOO! bar with an echo stem and i'm very pleased with it
