  1. Never did find out what this song was, don't supppose anyone coould enlighten me could they?
  2. Or a touch of green somewhere else (grips?) to bring out the colour of the rim tape? Looks pretty sweet though
  3. Considering heading down for a bit of natural on sat if it's dry. Weather forecast looks ok. Who's in?
  4. The guy on the echo has got a really nice style-looks like a young gilles/giacomo in some shots
  5. Nice ride, where is this? looks quality, i live in plymouth-how far away are you?
  6. Awesome location! Riding isn't bad either.
  7. Nice vid. I don't suppose your mate got joe kamikaziing into that qaurter pipe thing? Was a quality day!
  8. Or a protactor and plumb line if you want the easy way
  9. Sounds very strange! did you check the bearings and condition of the teeth on the outer ring when you put new pawls and springs in? If these were in good condition when you took it apart then replacing the pawls and springs really should have solved any problems (i'm also assuming you gave it a bloody good clean and relube). It sounds like it's time for a new one though. I replaced an old f**ked tensile with an echo tr (no sl's in stock at the time) about 6 months ago and it's been excellant.
  10. Looks nice, are you really tall or something-that's alot of spacers under a high rise stem and also pretty steep lever angle! How are finding running 18-15 on this frame? Only on my 2010 control ti's like they put the 4bolt mounts in the wrong place and it's nearly impossible to get any chain tension! Also someone on here said they had a 2011 phirana and that wouldn't take 18-15 at all ????
  11. Your forks made a miraculous recovery for the second half of the vid! Sellotape? edit: nice riding by the way.

    Kevlar Hose

I've been running braided hosing for years because i've always prefered the slightly sharper feel you get when compared to std. plastic magura hosing, however it needs replacing and i'm considering using kevlar hosing but i'm interested if anyone who shares my opinion on braided hosing has used kevlar and what they think of it? Thaks in advance.
  14. I'm sure that the spline on the hub is able to take the load required but thats some of the worst design/engineering i've ever seen! i'm very interested to know if it was actually designed like that or if it was somehow just made really badly. If i'd paid more than a tenner for that i'd be extremmely unhappy. I don't think that this appalling lack of attention to detail does echo any favours in instilling confidence in the quality of their products. Although in general they seem to ofeer fairly good value for money they keep coming up with these little gems of pure ineptitude!
  15. Sounds like a top combination of parts you've got there! Never heard of a lockring needing to take any of the load or a spline that doesn't fit snug. I'll be interested to see the photos.
  16. Good ride today despite the conditions, happy christmas to all who came. i was riding the control (badly) for those who don't know me on here.
  17. The main advantage on joe's setup is that you only have one hose coming out of each slave and therefore you can run the booster with almost no spacers at all, which ultimately results in an even stiffer set up + being neater and more compact. threaded fittings on the splitter are also way better the monty barbed fittings.
  18. Ha Ha, Joe purchased a "splitter" from somebody on here and then gave it to me to face off each side-it was about 15mm thick and generally badly made poorly drilled and had massive amounts of excess materiel on it. I had a look at it chucked it in the bin and sorted this one out for him. Anyway, the setup is awesome. If only i could be bothered to make one for myself, ha ha.
  19. Whatever mounts you decide on going with make sureyou put them in the right place. Unlike echo who managed to put my control together so badly that at's impossible to get chain tension whilst having the pads line up with the rim! The more my chain stretches the more i hate what is otherwise a brilliant frame! Allso built in boosters are def. the way to go.
