You're a bit mixed up. Cheap hifis quote PMPO (Peak Maximum Power Output) rather than RMS (Root Mean Squared) because it is always a bigger number, although it is RMS that actually matters. That is how the manufacturers of the cheap shit generate the deliberate obfuscation, not generally by simply quoting the RMS power, which is something you'd expect to be quoted. Erm just like a normal camera, if you know how to use it properly (ie half pressing the button to pre-focus the scene and all the jazz it needs to do) there is no noticable delay. Unless in photogrophy class you are tought like Shoulin monks to train your mind to be faster than modern day electronics, you cannot possibly notice the difference.
