Just stating the obvious here, but maybe it'll help: You'll need one circle of bearings on top of the frame (stem side) and one circle of bearings below the frame (fork side). If they're sealed you probably wont be able to se the balls, it'll just be a thicker circle that has a slidy side (either inside or outside slides, depending on what you're holding!) with BB's within it. Start from there. You'll probably have another circle on top of the top bearings before the cap goes on, the cap which probably says hope on it.

Unless someone has exactly the same headset then they're just going to be telling you how they *think* it should go together. And basically that's just going to be common sense. But nobody probably knows that they've got exactly the same headset because you yourself don;t know exactly what headset it is. I think the best thing to do would be to sit down for a while with all the circles, and think about what you're trying to achieve (all the preassure going through the bearings) and hopefully you'll eventually slot them on in the right combination. All those circles formed a perfectly good headset at one point, so persevere becasue you're bound to get there in the end. Edit: to answer definitively whether it's sealed or not, are there currently metric f**kloads of ball bearings rolling around your patio?

Yep, see picture! The point of making them appear complex is to make you think that they couldn;t be done by people; to make you think they are done by aliens. It's clever stuff, no doubt about it, and would take a lot of planning, but by using ropes and pegs to form basically huge compasses I recon it's easily possible to do one of these is a surprisingly short amount of time. Otherwise we can conclude that aliens do not have hayfever.

Why not use your own ISP's newsgroups? Might only have a few weeks retention but good for a LOT of stuff. And because it's on their own servers, not the internet, it's blazing fast. But the icing on the cake? Because it's their own servers, they're VERY unwilling to say whether the stuff being downloaded is legal or illegal, because if they say it's illegal stuff you're downloading, then they're liable for having it on their servers in the first place and 'making it available for download' which is the terminology used to prosecute file sharers at the minute. They get away with it at the moment by saying that they are 'common carriers' of the content, like a tv network is not responsible for one of it's channels infringing copyright; that's the channels fault even though the network broadcast it. That's becasue the network broadcasts the stuff *no matter what*. If it started identifying illegal stuff that it was broadcasting, as opposed to just broadcasting it all, that makes it its own fault. No ISP wants to be the one to open that can of legal worms, as it is expensive. You're scotch free, for now.

Ignoring the time value of the money the owner used to buy the suite, his direct costs would be what £15 for a wholesale dry-clean? £65 profit. Everyone should be in the suite lending business! Nah, the shop owner is pissed off because on this transaction he isn't milking the guy for £65 like usual, even though that price factors in the risk that the suite will come back damaged. But because it's some 18 year old beady eyed kid returning it, he's trying plan B and just straight out asking for more money! He's taking you for a fool, don't be one. By the looks of it, that service is only able to loacate your phone to within around 500m radius (the nearest cell tower at the time?). Not particularly useful for tracking the bike down in an urban environment. For some just deserts, re wire the phone so that the wires to the vibration motor instead go to some kind of electrical ignitor. Have it blow the petrol tank if you phone it. You'll get the bike on insurance anyway. Make sure the phone doesn't vibrate when the battery gets low or you're going to want to keep that f**ker charged while it's in the garage.

Sometimes there is a fee for early repayment, sometimes there is not; there is no answer. You have to check the terms of the agreement. You have to get in touch with them and ask for a 'balance of repayment' quote or some such like, and they will send you out a letter saying something along the lines of 'to fully pay off the balance owed to us please send a cheque for £3,589.34. Ok i'll explain. The problem is; it normally doesn't just involve sitting there and talking. It leads to bad driving, etc. cos these guys want to show off their cars. Search google for 'free proxy'. Though most of these, for obvious reasons, are also blocked by any self-respecting school internet filter. Short of setting one up yourself I don't think you have many options.

You've been unlucky, but don't worry, chances are you'll be fine, really. There's a guy at my work, aged 50, got diagnosed with it. Now he's fine, you wouldn;t know he ever had it. I don't know you, but i'm guessing becasue you hang out here you're young, so you've got a much better chance than this guy who's now fine.
