Erm weighs 1.7kg all in Feels stiff as fook Thanks a lot man, the BB yoke and headtube I'm especially proud of...took some hours but I learnt a hell of a lot along the way! thanks rab and sure, ill get some from the show 1090, 380, 71.5 +51ish Cheers dude, I can ride it better than any other bike so far Ah cheers Jamie, works bloody ace so I'm chuffed! I'm in the process of designing some now, not sure whether to use em though? Cheers! MMMMmmm Thanks dude, glad you liked the riding too! Erm, I can send if you want it man 192kbps MP3 Haha merci dude Not at present, next couple of weeks though.....got some improvements going in too, make it a bit stronger. Mm, is actually really hard deciding what you want to be honest...damned interesting though. THANKS Cheers dude, watch this space haha Glad you did Daniel....yeh man thats pretty local to me, all filmed in 2 days. The second spot in about 2 hours all in. heh Id liek to think so! I love your Bionic though, sure ive asked you but what's the actual reach on that thing? Aw thanks mike! You down south anytime soon? OOh god knows, could follow on your footsteps, get some shit CNC'd and go from there? Who knows..... THANKS

quote = mikee ah pics. looks realy good man. hows your rear brake mounting setup going? And the rest.... all good? much flex anywhere? Cheers dude, so good actually...Uber stuff, really easy ti adjust, thanks to customised mounts Literally the stiffest frame I've ridden...way better than the Coustellier V2 in that respect! quote = Stanners Amazing mate. Well done. You wantin to get a job in the bike industry? Rob I'd love to....Inspired or Onza looking? Quote = Bigman Very Impressive Alex! Always thought hoffmann had it right with that style of brake mount! all you need to do now is make some tidy little machined magura mounts that fit in there loverly! Adam Thanks a lot Adam, I reckon it's a great idea...so impressed with the brake parts. I just used some standard Magura mounts, then milled them down to no plastic washers and took some excess material off the top and bottom to minmise height of booster area. [quote name='forteh' That . is. awesome!! Im sooo f**king made up for you, glad its worked out as planned. Not a bad weight either, especially considering the lack of trick tubesets! Bet youre proud as hell, had a warm fuzzy feeling watching that video, cant imagine how it makes you feel riding it Lets hope it doesnt crack now Aw thanks a lot Forteh, and thankyou for your help! All tubing was 6082 T6 1.63mm ( 16swg ) tubing. All round profile, with the chainstays being rolled to shape.

A...not for poop, well setup front mount works adequately B, I found louder bake, but less chatter, bags more hold. Yup it does...hm maybe craigy...It just seems like reverse go a lot sooner, I think you'll find that's the general concensus? Although I'm probably wrong heh.

IT IS FINISHED....completely done,. all built and has been ridden...hard VIDEO BELOW So, so happy with her...the back brake is amazing, and the geo easily beats my Coustellier. soooo here's the rest of the stuff I didn't manage to update.... Right here we have the BB shell with the yoke placed on.....you can see al the cut outs and shit I put into it Took around 8-10 hours of machining for the both of them. Polished to satin kinda finish. Here are the production plans for the brake area....all designed off an RB booster and later cut out on the CNC router. Got the Top brake area actually being cut out on the CNC router and again See the nice shiny one and the buggered one? The nadged one is why I couldnt make those bashrings, boosters etc Managed to take the fked one and clean it up...handmilled it and got a nice design on her. Here are the two plates being welded together...bits of tubing been cut for the ends and a nice crude plywood jig to hold the lot together. Got the BB yoke welded to the shell in this picture...actually on the finished bike here Downtube gusset just as it was being made, styled off the XTP2 one One of the frame being welded together...got the brake area being supported by those science clampstand thingies. Quick snap of the frame in the lower part of the jig with my forks. brake all fitted here...silent but deadly...amazing hold, like a vee but with bite. BEST brake ever. Gay fisheye of above..... and finally.....full bike all built up and shiny AS usual all comments and feedback welcome... Geometry is lovvvely for me 1090 with urbans, 381 stays, 71.5 HA, 675 reach, +52 bb height, 100mm headtube. Weight was 1.71kgs Material was 6082 T6 ( stronger than typical 6061 by a smidge ) ALL hand-made by yours truly FOR VIDEO OF MAKING AND TESTING..... CLICK HERE!!! Cheers for everyones help...couldnt have done it without you lot ( ooh and project got me a distinction..wooo ) Regards, Alex Dark

Viz pro 720 bars orrr old try-all rages...orrr monty 22ti. All feel lovely. As for pedals, Wellgo Mg-1s / onza hognesium for sure
-
Echo lites, I like the high T-master stems...and some Monty 221ti risers or similar.
-
Sh Trials owns... Increases the braking force dramatically...acts like a back brake so the slaves are being pushed into the frame instead of being pulled away. Massively more chance of them cracking though

Thought Id Best Come Say Hello Really.

Ride with me...im coming up for 2 weeks to Faversham -
jakes out later...i might stay till like 8? depends if i ride well or not
-
yeh sounds about right.....you just need to get through the lacquer, maybe wire wool would be better? easier to give a nice brushed look to it.

I have all three...and even I concede theyre overpriced....I mean they work damned well, especially the hubs but you just cant justify the price tag in my opinion. Rear hub is lush, and bearings on front one are good...but you can get far lighter than the front one. If i was buying new I'd say Echo SL FFW, try-all rear hub, echo tr fronthub and and SL headset. Second hand, possibly go with King. The only reason I bought my set was because they were dirt cheap ( swapped headset for a spare, rear hub for spare frame so around £90 and front wheel was £35 ) Oh, and the bottom bracket is only compatible with shimano i think it is? cranks,...so no FFW or 18t up front.

I'd still go Heatsink Coust.....beat the two bikes I've ridden using LGMs
-
Post mount *** Why the X2 caliper... smaller pistons so less powerful
-
Beautifully filmed and edited...riding was great too..... NICE
-
Hm theyre not that huge....my Viz forks are 425mm so certainly usable.
-
MMmmm the weight does seem a tad high, although one assumes they're pretty strong to compensate for this. There are some other carbon forks that are 900g.....crazy
-
What exactly is wrong with it? Strange...pretty much everyone else has the opposite opinion to you what's wrong with your maguras? why do you hate maggies?? and ive heard that echo tr brakes have very brittle cables and braek alot?? is that true??

It was in the news section of the forum not too long ago...thought it was common knowledge now

fork linky These look ace...such good value from what I can see. Any opinions?

Maxxis Highrollers and Nokian Gazzelodi come in 2.7" versions. I doubt it, measure the spacing of the mount first. I personally wouldn't go any bigger than 2.35/2.5" on the rear. In my experience, Continental Der Kaiser or Maxxis minion dual-ply are about the best choices ( having ridden both exhaustively I can't justify the massive price difference ). Also, make sure you get the Black Chili ( Continental tyres ) or 42a Super Tacky ( maxxis tyres ) to ensure you get decent levels of grip Also, with the narrow 38mm DX32 rim it probably be an idea to get a 2.35" to help reduce tyre roll. I'm kinda awkward....massive bike, tiny rider You... Height: (cm) sorrrrry 5 8" Weight: (kg) 63.9 Style: (Street/Natural/TGS - which style is your bike most comfortable to ride in - NOT what do you prefer, or are best at.) Bikes designed for Natural.....seems to ride best in this setting. Your Bike... Type: (mod/stock/24) Stock Weight: (kg - if known) 9.7kg Frame: (name will do, but if you know the geo - that'd be great. ((WB, BB, CS, HA, headtube length and especially reach (((BB to top of headtube)))))) <--- 6 closing brackets Coustellier V2 1117,+43, 380, 71.5, 685 Forks: (again - length and rake if known, please) 420, 45mm Headset: (internal of standard) standard Stackers: (total mm) 10mm Stem: (rise and length) try-all nuc 125 x 25* Bars: (rise, width, upsweep and backsweep) Viz Pro720 11* 9* 720mm Cranks: (length and offset) No idea on offset...Echo CNC 170mm BB: (width) 128mm FSA Comments: Love the way the coustellier rides....amazing frame in my opinion.Rides great on street and natty, and they seem pretty damned strong. I reckon a high front end is vital for this frame, along with shorter Koxx forxx with less offset that will help reduce the gargantuan wheelbase. If you want any more info just ask Cheers, Alex

haha so they sound ideal then!
