  1. Yeee as above haven't ridden plymouth properly for a while, anyone fancy it this weekend at some juncture? Cheers, Alex
  2. Things have definitely changed for the better...I was born in the 90's but I still started off riding shite. Was more fun in a way, but a damn sight more frustrating....things went wrong more for me then than now I reckon.
  3. Something short...Monty 221ti etc, High and short stem, monty PR with some stackers....high pressures
  4. Thats buggery, I'd rather have the lightest shittiest forks for drops and stronger for "tricks"....if youre actually dropping properly you should be able to do it hardly touching the front end when you land Nerp, get some trialtech/viz/urbans
  5. Too much.....would have looked better if you stripped the wheels down too Hardly bad though dude,
  6. They have the same steerer system as the older onza smart guys. I'd hardly call it a custom design. The dropouts are completely identical to the viz from what I can see... The legs are the same shape as the Viz and have the original " ripple technology " onza used years back.....they may use a thicker tubing, I'm not sure. I DO agree they are VERY good forks, and I like my Viz VERY much.....I refuse to admit that they're a totally original design though
  7. I haven't but a fair few people seem to ride them nowadays.... Ye, they are a shallow taper steerer from the viz's too....shapes from the fly guys though?
  8. Exactly...silly money for forks..more weight, more bulk, more to go wrong.
  9. I agreed with you there OBM I just said that the RRP is too high for some people to justify. Too true on the looks front, I prefer the Lites on a mod and some TT's on a stock Hmmm, why not? Loads of people are running them reverse mount with vee daptors
  10. Because Trialtech mod forks are ugly....and they're both VERY expensive. don't get me wrong, love me Viz forks which are pretty much TT's but they are a lot to blow. Edit: They are definitely stronger, but it's just hard to justify I reckon. If they were sub £100 they'd sell a hell of a lot more, but I guess that's not about to happen
  11. | \/ Roadie grip tape...problem sorted
  12. The limey 3 and 4 stocks both ride really nice, very upright on the back wheel..and cockpit feels pretty damned long. The 320 is miles ahead of the older limey mod as stated above.... The topic starter has agreed to buy on of those green and white thingies so a bit late to ask I reckon haha
  13. Pretty much standard Onza build....much prefer your skull, the Limey I rode was really horrid, not a fan at all.
  14. Green and white...limey 2 mod isn't it?
  15. Definitely not "ridiculously easy" I always have a load of hassle getting it perfect.... Have to agree with you there though! Sealed bearings are cheap as buggery anyway.... What hub is it?
  16. I haven't had too many problems whacking rotors or callipers to be honest...but: The larger rotors will exert more force on your forks likely causing them to crack sooner than if a smaller, say 6" rotor is used. This completely depends on your style and ability though The Clim8 brakes are aimed at XC/ freeride and so probably won't have the bite and hold that we require in trials....again depending on your riding style though. The larger the rotor the more brake there is to hit basically... Triple pot systems are only really of any advantage when going downhill fast and heating the brakes...because the heat is spread across all three pistons it's less likely to heat up so much that brake fade is incurred. The larger rotor will obviously weigh more than the smaller one...along with the adaptor.
  17. Zona frame by far...but Zoo for the spec Edit: I wouldn't buy a complete zoot personally...and those Tosxin frames don't look particularly inspiring to ride Any chance of getting that Zenith off ebay?
  18. OH yes....the Zeniths ride amazingly, loved mine with a passion
  19. Sony Vegas pro 9 that's what he used a while back anyway
