  1. Heres mine, autumn 2008 I think on me Coust V1 frame
  2. get frame perfectly upright, then spirit level on top of mounts to check they're level? File will sort them out if not....
  3. Probably around 16swg? ( 1.63mm ) around normal for a framw weghing 1.6-1.7 Only pre-lightweight deng stuff has over 2mm wall....2.2mm i think?
  4. Trial version of Sony Vegas...google how to extend the trial indefinitely
  5. Good stuff.... doubt it's 8...as a limey 320, heavily modified, ti bits, singlewall rims and one of the lightest front tyres available is 7.8
  6. 8kg...probably too light. Stand on scales, weigh yourself Grab bike, weigh yourself + bike Gross weight - your weight = bike weight

    Help!

Thats amazing...god knows how you didn't notice them when you put em on the forks though
  8. Shimano UN52...or UN72 if you can find one for square taper Bearings last forever, and pretty damned strong. Personally, I'd go ISIS>..far better cranks available ( unless you run Burns ) less flex, stronger axle. FSA platinum pro...Superstar components IRB.....try-all
  9. Hm They're not that weak now I don't think...and U6 frames were invariably composed of just one U6 Treated tube anyway.
  10. Looks awesome man hope you like it as much as i did mine
  11. 125 x 25 tarty/try-all stem seems to be the weapon of choice for most stocks between +30-60 nowadays..... certainly far shorter than the old highest echo stock stem.
  12. Why dont you take it off and try it? The frame may well crack without though....a la Echo pure 07 etc
  13. definitely...strong 2 bolt booster should sort you, if they're really being a pain I guess you could toe the pads in? Would lower performance and increase pad wear conversely..
  14. Looks sick dude, what's the quality like on the frame? Does it feel cramped? Any idea of the reach? How flexy is it....booster needed?
  15. Nerp, the Echo uses IRB ( integrated race bearings ) alowing for larger ad thus stronger ball bearings to be used. I use an FSA Platinum and it seems fairly good.....if i was to get another one it'd be the Superstar Components IRB one though.....similar to echo.
  16. Saw these on CRC, anyone know if theyre any good? linky
  17. Tensile Ace has served me well....
  18. My first bike I tried converting into a trials bike......memories
  19. ow....1.8kg lighter than my Coust Strip those pedals....spoil it, hows the tyre combo?
  20. lovely frames those...but it will crack again there I'm afraid Make the most of it dude, they ride lush.
  21. DO NOT WELD IT....you will lose all the tempering around the brake mount
  22. Yeee so basically changed forks to run a disc...problem is the rotor rubs horrendously on the CPS bolts and the inside of the caliper (nearside) are there any known issues about the urban forks with a king hub? Tried two different adaptors..and the same woes ensued. Im assuming the Echo forks just have a mount thats welded on a smidge too far towards the hub...so i guess my only option is to mill down the adaptor to bring both caliper and bolts slightly toward the outside of the fork leg...anyone else have any good ideas? PS tried washer on the axle of the hub, but even with a decent sized 1mm it wont quite clear.
  23. I think most people use them
  24. Viz pro 720 bars for sure.....so much nicer than most bars ive tried....monty 221ti's are very similar, and Try-all carbons are that bit nicer feeling
