No he wasn't sadly... good rider and i like his attacking style. But a bloody long way to come!!

Brilliant day... and thanks to all those riders that gave us the play demo at the end, was inspiring!!! No idea of the results yet but i took 250 photos and will upload many later this evening... great to chat to a few riders even though i had no idea who any of you were. Other than Mr Savage and Mr Wilson!! And it was good to bump into Scotts Dad again all these years later... we used to ride the same motorcycle trials back in the 80's!!

... sorry, i thought you looked 42 See you tomorrow for our Swindon ride The "have fun" bit is the most important part... and you must be able to laugh at yourself, because everyone else will
-
I am 43 soon... my 3 riding mates are 42, 43 and 45!!! We have just started again after a 5 year lay off and are back to beginners standard again but it is such a laugh when we ride together, who cares if we can't back hop everything I am doing it again to keep fit for my motorcycle trials whilst i take a break from that... and the techniques learnt will be put to good effect when i get the Beta back out again... possibly!!

i was frightened they were going to snap when you landed!!
-
at least my legs have some meat on them... you really need to start eating more

no... ask Ben and Jon I am an old style rider that likes two wheels on the ground. Ok at going around a jumble of rocks if i can just hop both across and then roll a bit etc. All new to me doing everything on the back wheel and my brain talks me out of it when i get more than a foot off the ground. That is what is to be worked on..

Thanks to Jon Mac and Ben Johnson for giving me a demo today on how you should do it!!! I watched and learnt and will try to put the lessons into practice... on smaller stuff first
-
stunning... if i had as much skill as either of those guys have in their little fingers i would be a happy man!!
-
i have the same problem... sent some Dainese leathers off and for the first time in ages forgot to do recorded. Now he is telling me it hasn't arrived. The post office will not consider it lostt until 15 days after posting... then you have to get a form from them and do a claim. If it was 30 quid or less you should be ok but anything over is not covered under first class standard insurence.

I know it was bad etiquette... but what the hell is this? Home made i hope http://www.trials-forum.ro/download/file.p...e&mode=view

Got to say... i like to publicise west country company's on my web site and put up a link to T-UK a few weeks ago after a quick email to the company was answered straight away. But now i have been trying to contact them and had no further luck and hearing that others are having the same issues i am having second thoughts.... not a good way to run a company if you actually want to make money from it. Or is he rolling in money so only doing it for a laugh!!

Ripped the threads out of my Echo frame yesterday doing a side hop off something about 4 or 5 foot high... landed with brake on as you do and then had a heatsink adaptor laying by the side of my leg On the way home i popped into my local nuts and bolts store and picked up a 5mm helicoil kit for 21 quid plus vat... i see them on ebay for about 15 quid plus 7 for delivery so not much more to have it when i wanted it. Within 10 minutes i had 4 new steel insert helicoiled maggie mount holes. The same stores can sell single stainless or whatever allen bolts that are much better quality than most standard fit ones. the same helicoil tool will do up to 8mm so only the tap needed to suit if you need it for 6,7 or 8mm pulled out threads.

I have a slipped disc and have to be careful ... but the best thing i did when going to the physio last year was work on a gym ball. Look on google for gym ball exercises , it builds core muscle strength as you have to balance yourself whilst doing the exercises. But most of my problems stem from 35 years of motorcycle trials !! p.s. this is the west country, we drink scrumpy cider

I am running a rear v, shimano deore arms on heatsink adaptors with an avid sd7 lever, and soon an RB V booster. I have Plazmatic pads and holders and my rims are ground. Because i ride some natural stuff and also ride down on the rocks at the beach i often have wet rims and wondered what your best combo suggestions are for wet weather braking performance... what pads, rim prep etc. They work lovely in the dry but want to prepare for the winter!! Cheers.

... West Swindon is a big place... got any area or road names for riding locations.
