  1. You press the reply button underneath their comment dave and it will automatically come up with their message in a quote. Phil
  2. Yeh and as you paid by paypal dave there should be more of a chance of getting something back possibly - IF you get your mum to phone him. BUT on the other hand the mood you were in when it came did amuse me for a short period of time. Definetly try and get money back but at the end of the day its a preety nice frame with some mint parts on. Phil
  3. Absolutely any people who are safe guys to have a laugh with and are better than me so they could teach me stuff. In my town there are like 4 people who ride trials with - not goood! Phil
  4. Cheers man so im looknig at these cranks currently: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=156 They would work with preety much any front freewheel and bash bought from tarty? But what else would I need - some kind of locking device? Phil
  5. Cranks bust at the moment but other than that I ride every weekday too. Where abouts is sorrel? Phil
  6. Ah i see - cheers mate Phil
  7. ok cheers but im not talknig about middleburns. Im talknig about nearly all the cranks on tarty. Surely they arent all screw on bash and sprocket?! Phil
  8. Right I need to buy some cranks. I've got a middleburn sprocket and a bash to go on which are both 5 bolt. BUT looking on tarty all the cranks look like left side cranks to me Do you screw on the actual 5 bolt thing to which you bolt the bash and sprocket? (surely they arent all like special branks that you screw on the bash and sproket straight on) HELP PLEASE Phil
  9. Dont mean to be nosy but how come nothing to do with bikes? They dont like you riding? As for me I have no clue maybe a decent crank set and bb unless I get some second hand soon. Phil
  10. Yeh quite funny you should be thinking that - its exactly what my mate did a couple of days back on his onze. He put the azonic risers but found they didnt really make manualing too much easier and they weren't as wide as his try all flat bars so didn't feel to nice. But its worth a try I guess . He is crap at manuals anyway though - like me. I really cant find the position but the only time I did a decent manual was by basically doing a tiny 'pedal up' onto a curb and landing in the right position to just keep on holding it. This is so stupid but on my t-rex I can seriously not get the front wheel to the manual point - just won't go up without a pedal. I find it annoying because when stationery I've got good balance on the back wheel but I just cant pull off the manuals ....need to practise alot more. Phil
  11. I run a maggy on the front - mainly due to the fact I couldn't afford a good disc at the moment. If it isn't broken dont fix it . Allthough my front maggy with tar is literally on or off. - nothing in between. Preety good modulation then as you can expect! My friend recently got a magura marta disc for the front which is supposedly a freeride brake and is abit dodgy if im going to be honest (maybe due to the fact he hasnt got the original 180mm rotor on) I'd prefer my maggy anyday to his disc but im presuming when a nice disc is set up it performes far beyond maguras. We also tried putting one of his hope M4 brakes on his trials bike - Mistake! Didn't work atall. Phil
  12. Its got to be a few things: - Having an off day where you feel down about your riding which makes you worse. - Not being able to trust your rear brake. (can now) - Being over 16 and having to pay like stupid ammounts of money to go anywhere to ride on the train. - Having to have a shower after a 30 minute piss around sesh in the road. But I love trials really Phil
  13. Im 6ft 2 which seems just over average between all the riders about here. Or only the tall ones bothered putting down their height . What is the best body build for a trials rider do you reacon? Im quite built broad shoulders and all that but quite a few of the awesome riders I see dont have big athletic builds but are mega toned. (might be wrong please don't slate me) Do you think being big (built) hinders your chanes of ever getting really good? Phil
  14. Hmm yeh Im well up for getting some just through someone on TF. Do you ride truativs? (or do my eyes decieve me) I'll have a hunt around for some bargain burns. Not sure whether to get Isis, meaning I have to replace the BB, however might be better in the long run. Phil
  15. Well I used to do backhops on my specialised hardrock and think I was the dogs b*llocks. haha. And then my friend brought a trials bike and I rode with him and took goes until I decided to get one for myself. I found trials before I found trials videos and saw what people can do. Phil
  16. Right cranks are bent - need some new ones. At the moment Ive got a square taper BB and about £70. What you think? I was thinking of 2nd hand burns...(would be lucky for ^ that kind of money) Phil
  17. Cherers guys for the feedback but looks like I wont be getting the 12's or the 8's because I bent my cranks this afternoon and need some new ones But guess that will be another topic. Would appreciate feedback on that topic. Cheeers Phil
  18. Ah nice. Yeh I don't have money to burn on the V12's. Might have to be the 8's. Cheers for the advice. Phil
  19. Ah crap. Got two completely different opinions ! Si - im not sure the fact you have got through 6 pairs is a good thing. And James your a king so got to take into account what you say. Do you ride V12's then? Phil
  20. I've got an Onza T-Rex. Basically im looking to upgrade it loads. Im looking for a 'money no object' spec you reacon would be amazing.... (so I can dream) And a Phil cheap man, but still good quality parts that will last.....(midrange kind of thing I guess) Cheeeeers. Phil
  21. Yeh my bear trap onza pedals (or whatever they are called) are inevitably dying on me. So, need some pedals was looking at the V8's. What do you guys thing for trials? Anyone run them? Feedback appreciated. Phil
  22. Ha yeh that is a fair idea but wearing jeans in summer! suicide! Its got to be shorts in summer - or I end up with like a lake of sweat in my jeans! Especially as I only wear black jeans which absorbs the light. Phil
  23. haha fair call - cost effective! Right I just went for a 30 min ride wearing my mates DH 661 pads. They actually werren't that bad and I forgot I had them on after a while. But where my leg is mullered it stung so much - as I got sweaty under the thick pads the sweat hit the wounds. But anywho I really like the feel of having pads on as I feel safe now im more aware of killing my legs. And its a relief when you take them off Phil
  24. Yeh man puts me in the zone. Its all about the upbeat punk for riding I think like 'A wilhelm scream'. But my piece of shit mp3 player broke. Only going to say this once so listen BUT CHEAP - BUY TWICE Phil
  25. Glen - if you brought trials specific shoes they would be worth more than your bike...lets be honest Its all about the Skate shoes for me. I wear Osiris - hard as nails have lasted me ages. Phil
