  1. Sorry if this is slightly off the topic of dates but it is related. From the quote above it looks clear this is quite an event for lots of people new to the sport to join in on. All the above people are very experienced riders and as it mentions there is a white run and I assume some others between that and black. Is there any space for less experienced riders (1 - 2 years) to come along to any of these events to ride? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Phil
  2. So they are. Cheers dude. Looks like a plan. Phil
  3. For some stupid reason I never considered any of those issues Ok scrap that im looking for a standard relatively cheap rear gear hub - disc mounts not needed. Anyone got any ideas? Phil
  4. I recently destroyed my rear hub, unsurprisingly as it was some kind of ddg which came stock on my T-Rex. I am looking for a relatively cheap new hub and as I ride single speed a single speed hub looks like a good option. I was looking at the Dmr Revolver ss hub as it is preety cheap. As seen on Tarty Bikes: Dmr Revolver Hub Advice appreciated. Cheers Phil
  5. A couple of my mates ride in 22 - 16. Stupidest thing ever! So high! Phil
  6. That was awesome! Really enjoyed watching it. Especially liked the moves to front, were nice as! Only criticism is a few too many sidehops maybe. But thats just my personal preference. Good stuff Phil
  7. 22 - 18 pure heaven!!!! Phil
  8. 1 Get a 6 pack! Make a real effort! 2 Get a girl friend sorted. 1st might help the 2nd to happen! Phil
  9. Well firstly be sensible about it (eg not reading the above advise) Talk to them rationally and try and highlight the advantages of getting a trials bike: - Good exercise - Helps you learn practical skills when fixing your bike -Givesyou something positive to focus on etc Phil
  10. Cheers for the information mate. Well thinking about it I don't think council is the way to go as they don't want to be responsible for someone getting destroyed there. I think someone needs to properly scout out inside there and see whats going on. If no one touches the site and the door is closed behind any rider that goes in I don't see how anyone would need to find out about it being used. It would be when pikeys started hanging in there etc that I think the council would really get involved. Phil
  11. TF is being cocky and keeps freezing after I write and submit a post so I accidently did two hence im filling the space of the second with this dribble.
  12. I AM thinking what your thinking. That would be awesome but its a killer 1 hour 10 minute train from where I live. You guys should scout it out, see what you find, see the prospects, take some pictures Phil
  13. DEAR JESUS how good is that! So lucky! We have a little trials course in my mates garden which is awesome, we whack out a light in the evenings but in this weather its not good as it isn't covered. Phil
  14. Do any exist in Hampshire because I am getting pi**ed off to the extreme with this rain. I would love to just be able to go somewhere with a couple of mates meet new people and have a good day riding and chilling out. It's alot to ask but does anyone know of any? cheers, Phil
  15. YESSS! Someone with some sense who lives in the real world Phil
  16. Yo dude. Welcome! Your achievments sound very impressive. Im 16 and embarassingly your probably better than me! How long have you been riding? Phil
  17. Ha afraid that wouldn't hold up in court! Phil
  18. Yo dude. If you search the forum you will see I made a massive thread about this not long ago about 'is trials antisocial behaviour?'. This is my view on it: I'd like to stress I ride street and am on your side! But its nothing about paying for your bike because you make a free choice as to where to use it as clearly trials bikes are at home on natural terrain. You could buy a gun doesn't give you the right to shoot someone because you payed for it. What I think is important is not so much the damaging walls and stuff but the 'anti social' behaviour that it is to other people in the community when jokers on trials bike jump onto stuff right next to people which really does piss me off. I ride street and aren't going to stop but I wouldn't make a move if I saw someone was near or an old person was walking by and I thought I would scare them. Just some thoughts. Phil Sweet Jesus I hope you are joking! Phil
  19. Don't want to but got no choice mate. Im taking dave with me! You can have him! ha Phil
  20. So not cool I was arranging this little ride now I can't go! Ah well have a good ride tomorrow guys im jsut hitting a local spot with some mates. Phil
  21. Hey dude. Im not liking this 'buy double caged pedals so your not bothered when they die' - not good. At the end of the day you will get through 2 sets of double caged pedals in the same time as one pair of fairly decent(such as shindigs) which don't cost double as much. So if you do the math works out better to get decent pedals. Not only this but double caged pedals arent nice to ride with atall! for so many reasons. Phil
  22. Yeh I see dude. Personally I find abit of encouragement can go a long way Phil
  23. Not all rotors work with all brakes as I explained above. Hope floating disks require a special hub (which dave does have, but not on the wanted wheel build) The disk costs a fair bit but atleast getting that would mean he didn't waste the money on the magura marta brake all together because it doesnt work with any old disk as we discovered with the shimano disk. Phil
  24. Just to add to what dave was saying he did have a shimano disk with it but it did not work atall. Is this to do with type of metal? finish of metal? Phil
  25. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOoo its on at 10.30 pm?!?!?!
