--> QUOTE(danny B @ Nov 13 2006, 10:03 PM) ←c'mon dude it is just a shinny whe i was younger i used to wear shin pads but to be honest i am sooo much more comfortable not wearing them the decision is ures lol haha Yeh I know everyone shins themselves - But this was savage and until it heals anyway Im definetly wearing pads. I managed to blag some beefy 661 pads off my mate tonite so should do the trick until I get some of my own. Phil Cheers for the advice man - I was looking at the Planet X's on CRC abit earlier. Look preety allright and abit of a bargain. Don't look too beefy either so might be the way to go. Cheers Phil

Went out riding today. Had just started went for a kickhop up a wall. I knew I wasnt going to make it properly so I put one leg down , the other span round and decked me in the shin. I had about 4 puncture marks but I thought I'd be a lad and carry on riding even though it hurt sh*t loads. (as we all do) So I changed into some shorts so my jeans weren't touching the cuts. I thought everything was good so I carried on riding in mild pain. I was out riding again when I did the move where you stand up on your back wheel, put one foot on the wheel spin the cranks with your other foot then catch the pedal and land but landed it wrong with one foot down and it minced all down my shin. Actually hurt so much - such a mess at the moment! Well that was todays fun and games when it comes to injuries. Phil HAHA you absolute nutter! Can anyone beat that?! Phil

I completely destroyed my shins today...they are a brutal mess. So, I thought to myself it might be a good plan to invest in some Shin pads. I've been looking at the 661 range which seem preety standard as my friend has some. Or possibly the 'brand x' pads. But then again they are like DH/DJ pads so I might look like a pillock riding trials with them on! What would you reccomend? Cheers Phil

Women riding bikes scares me! Unless its like through a park and they are hot. Phil

Im preety sure this doesn't come under Trials chat. Its kind of a silly question as we need to know condition, spec, age. Not only this but there are loads of different Stinky's eg the primo and deluxe. Phil

What do you do if a bird sh*ts on your car? Don't ask her out again! What do elton john and richard hammond have in common? They have both got skids on their helmets Just a couple of classics. I'll think of some others later Phil

Well bike related (as silly as it sounds) I dont like hopping up on to walls which have really big gaps on the other side straight down because I think I will screw it up and end up nose diving and consequently dying! On the non bike side of things. Im not scared of much really. p.s rats are cute haha. Phil

I have strained a muscle in my lower back. It isn't too bad but it feels strained when im up on my back wheel. This is not the first time this has happened and I have had muscles strained/pulled quite alot in my back but they always seem to heal. Is there any lasting negative effects of repeatedly pulling muscles in my back? Anything I can do to prevent it? Any way I can get the muscles to relax in my back when it is strained? Thanks alot. Phil

Its got to be a new set of cranks, BB and whatever else I manage to break before then!

Onza mate (I've got a T-Rex) - strong, reliable, trusted, respected a very good trials specific brand as most will agree. Phil
-
Ah man that is savage! Keeping to the natural im guessing then. I think it is fairly ridiculous - are they blaming you jsut for riding stuff your not supposed too or actually damaging property? Phil
-
Hmm, Is there anyway I can take tarmac, melt it down to retrieve the pure tar? Im guessing its made of tar and gravel stuff. Phil

I bought the T-Rex spec 1 not long ago. I thought it was gonna be nice but not amazing but it was actually brilliant . Everything was so much more solid than I thought it was going to be! I started trials riding on my friends Onza T-Rex - middleburn cranks, try all bars etc - the lot. When I got my onza it felt so much nicer to ride than his! I was 'well impressed'. I also thought that the first 6 foot gap or whatever that I did I would have to upgrade my rear rim but that too is as solid as a rock it looks like. Other advantages include the T-Rex being a very strong frame. This frame will last you a long time. Obviously as you progress you will purchase new parts but I think the frame will be able to handle your ridng needs as it is used by some very high level riders. However if you ride it hard you will have to upgrade parts preety early on. I have bent my driveside crank to the point of no return from failed static kickhops up walls. Using a hammer I have partially bent it back but am gonig to get a new crank set + BB very soon. All in all a brilliant bike for the money. Phil

Just wondering: are you into like pure street trials riding? (barspins, fufanus and all that) or do you just want to add another level to your trials riding with new skills? Phil

--> QUOTE(joe b @ Nov 7 2006, 08:17 PM) ←Off the floor . No seriously, if you can't find any on the floor, then some tard was selling it on here; if he hasn't gone out of business yet , then i suggest trying him... Cheers, Joe. haha a few people have said off the floor. I dunno what the architecture is like in your towns but I can't see any inbetween paving here! Phil

I think that is the bottom line guys. Followed by always being able to rag it off if you think your going to get bnadly blamed for something. (guilty or innocent) Phil
-
Why not use tar? Phil
-
Haha I'll do it. Im sure they can spare it! Phil

Im worried! I rode about 2 and a half hours this afternoon. I just went out for a 15 min ride out on the road in the intention of knackering myself out. I started feeling dizzy like I was properly drunk and felt really weird inside. I was wearing adequate clothing and have drunken/eaten enough. When I got a drink upon coming in I couldn't hold my hand still atall. And Im completely drenched in sweat which is weird as it wouldn't normally happen in 15 mins. Phil
-
Ah rite cheers for the advice. But where did you get it from? Phil
-
Ha the guy said something about a bucket of it. That would last my riding career with alot of excess . I'll see how much it costs tomorrow. Well a small bar of it costs about £3 so im told so a bucket might be quite alot. Apparently its good to try getting some off a roofing company as they use it. Phil haha how am I sposed to get tar out of the roads?!?! (not that you or any trials rider would condone that kind of behaviour 8-) ) Phil Ah safe but I dont really do the whole E-bay thing. Phil
-
Im looking for some tar for my rims. I tried my local bike shop, my local materical shop (who sold it in industrial sizes) and my local 'has anything' family owned shop, but none had it in the right ammount. Had a look on Tarty and couldn't see any for sale. Really need some more soon as I've seen a massive difference since I've started using it. Cheers. Phil

Haha mate that is mental! Best one is when you conned the police into saying it wasn't you. Where abouts did all this happen? Phil

Just to clear this up guys anti social means different things in different contexts. In this context it means: 'opposed or detrimental to social order or the principles on which society is constituted.' 'a pattern of behavior in which social norms and the rights of others are persistently violated.' Not that I think Trials riding is in any way shape or form! Phil
