  1. do not use expanding foam. it tends to either not expand enough and be useless or expand too much and warp exterior panels. in my astra vans i used loft insulation behind 6mm plywood.
  2. nearly done. shame im off abroad working for 3 months.
  3. Just goes to show how versatile Chris is. IRC El Gatos on a T-raptor... i remember when he first rode for onZa.. i feel old.
  4. im not totally clued up on mods right now but maybe a shorter reach stem? looks to me like the bike on a whole is too long for you.
  5. Well correct me if I'm wrong but i can't seem to find a pic thread in here? So here it is, keep chat to a minimum, just a quick bit of info with your pic. I've finally taken the plunge and bought myself a brand new all round bike. Mostly it will be used for riding around barracks during the week then trails on a weekend like Cannock, Coed Y Brenin, Bedgebury, Grizedale etc etc It's a 2013 Trek Fuel EX8 totally standard fresh out of the box today, just done about half a mile on Shipley Glen to make sure gear brakes etc work ok
  6. update from me - poly bushes now in - subframe, trailing arms, wish bones, camber arms. hydraulic hand brake fitted, goodridge brake hoses all round, centre console drift spec with switch panel mounted, rear wheels now effective et-4 extra bump stop added to prevent wheel to arch contact again. im currently researching ls1 and 1uz-fe conversion as the m62 is a right twat to get the sump mounted oil pump in the e36

  10. guess i can join in thsi debate I have spent the past 2months driving a transit 9 seater LWB and a merc LWB both fitted with 'winter' tyres. we have driven from the UK to sweden via france belgium germany denmark norway. the snowand ice we encountered was enough to put any UK conditons to shame for the past 10 years. the winter tyres seemed to have no dificulty with cornering and speed wether on ice or freshly covered snow roads, plus they were fine on the clear roads in the UK. BUT if you give them a quick clutch kick with traction control turned off you can hold and control a perfect drift. TL:DR winter tyres are good in winter.
  11. nice attendance had great fun, thanks to all organisers and photographers got away with minimal damage for the amount of time i spent out of control my 2nd drift way in 12 months and its made such an improvement, I will be going again as soon as teesside is open on a weekend again. HD video - http://vimeo.com/56606161
  12. teesside drifting again - i wont spam here with pics and vids

  15. i've had it happen in a Fiat Ducato van before. it revved it nackers off for about 2 minutes then just slowed and slowed until it seized up.
  16. lol funny f**ker. just chuckled and vimto came out my nose. i put a standard diff back in my e36. its gay, i only drove it 100 miles on motorway from where i bought it 18months ago to the unit and welded it up the same day. i can now corner faster but, when i want it to drift it wont hold a nice slide, and when i dont want it to it just lets go and gets all squirmy. gayyyy. wish LSDs didnt cost so much.
  17. will adding castor make my suspension raise up when i turn. ie when sat still i can tuck my tyre under my arch and sit pretty much flush, then when i come to turn it will raise and clear the arch? just thinking at the moment. the e36 already does this but just not enough with my rolled(not flared) front arches
