  1. I don't think most people will bother. I know at work when it went down to 15% we initially changed the prices on the tills then a week later we didn't bother, no-one questioned the difference, in fact it was easier as they didn't have to have the small handful of change back rather than a penny. As said, petrol is gonna be the worst hit, I'm 19 and in the 3 years that I have been on the road in some form it's gone up by almost 40 pence a litre! that's absolute madness! On the general talk of things going up, why is it that televisions and consumer electronics/gadgets can always continually drop in price, yet bicycles/bicycle industries are always faced with price rises? Just don't understand the logic?
  2. We managed this the other night. and then finishing it off with a foil ceiling.
  3. Awesome sounds good to me. I'm fine for pretty much any Saturday or Sunday before December 18th. Just up to the weather and you guys...
  4. I remember when I started riding a lot of people used to ride Cambridge. Now that I can actually get there for a fair amount of money train wise I'd really like to give it ago. But of course I've never been there, don't know the spots and I'll be starting off at the train station if there is anything good in that vicinity. Anyone else up for it or is it not worth it?
  5. Actually looks like I really good skatepark, I like it how in the description it is designed to flow which not enough skateparks do.
  6. Bit of a bump, but I desperately need some inspiration. Pretty much got a flat opposite us which continually egg our windows, each time they do we persevere in doing more creative ways of getting them back, as let's face it the egg throwing is lame. Once the window is dirty, it is dirty so it's effectively pointless. One thing we did was get up early in the morning and pour flour onto sheets of paper, then sliding it under their flat door and blowing it into the flat (works ridiculously well with a pump and needle valve). However we found that their door was unlocked so just deposited a bag of flour just about everywhere in their flat. Second time we filled a bucket with a mixture of; water, beans, mayonnaise, piss, beer, etc. We proceeded by leaning it up against their door so it was on tipping point, knocked on the door, letting it fall in on them when they opened it. Now we're running out of ideas, another egg has come across, so we are thinking of going over late night again hoping that the door will be open to do the gravy granules in the shower head trick. If the door is not open, we will be ratchet strapping their door handle to the door handle opposite their flat door on a Monday morning making it impossible for them to get out for their lectures. They are on the top floor so no-one should walk past it. Really need some more inspiration, like I say though, it is mainly dependant on if their door is open to do the majority of stuff.
  7. I think it depends entirely how well or the big the previous work was. With CLS "The End", it works perfectly, the music is very matched and compliments CLS' riding style. But let's just say someone used a similar moving track, but did not represent this in their editing or style of riding, then it is a wasted opportunity and allows for people to do better. I think it goes for anything in life, let's say you created a new product that was completely unique on the market and was effectively perfect in all aspects with no downfalls to it. That product would be done and dusted, and to imitate it or produce an alternative that does not meet the previous version's high standard is morally wrong. But take for instance, someone who comes up with an original idea but doesn't quite tick all the boxes which it should do to succeed and essentially fails. I think that leaves the door open for someone to come in and improve on that original idea.
  8. Main dealer or second hand as far as I'm aware. Can be very specific to the lights themselves, with not enough demand to produce pattern parts.
  9. HD Video is definately out of the question. Paperwork and things, really can't fault them. I use mine to take notes in lectures, even if I don't use it, it fits comfortably in my bag due to its size so I don't have to lug an extra laptop bag around with me.
  10. People who bitch about other people who might get the odd thing wrong. or bitching about reposts, duplicate threads etc. The trials community is small enough as it is, why should we be griping and driving people out just because they don't confirm to the standards of the people who have been here the longest? And surely reposts/duplicate threads reinforce how popular something is, in essence that is how much exposure something may have and a repost gives greater opportunity for people who have not already seen it.
  11. The Kennedy Soundtrack - Side 2 Side. This, (although this version has been dubbed) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN1pKuSeIpk or this? Actually another one. Easily my favourite cover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pDc0rVbmnY
  12. Yea generally I've only ever had it occur in the editing software itself, as my computer isn't greatly specced, but usually nothing shows in the render. I'd be inclined to go with Adams advice, what spec computer are you running?
  13. It wasn't available in this country as far as I was aware. Shame really because it is such a nice bike. Giant should really try to get their arse's into the trials market properly, beautiful bikes!
  14. I'll be 29. I hope to be well established into the visual media industry, either TV or film but I've not specified which or roughly where I want to go, but I imagine I will draw upon where I want to go in the next couple of years. I would like to imagine this job will be paying a decent wage, so I'll have a house with a missus, possibly married and about ready to have kids. I'd also like to have a nice motorbike in the garage and some kind of car. I'd also want to be covered in tattoos by that point!
  15. Bit of a late reply, this could have been some help but I've only just seen the thread. I went for contact lenses, a little bit of fake blood and some black face paint in a subtle amount. I'll do it again next year but revise it a bit better..
  16. Best best best stuff of all to use for healing is Bepanthen cream. Use it for a week, applying it in the morning and evenings, or if your tattoo dries out. It moisturises it, making it less scabby/peeley as well as making it less irritable to scratch away at it. Pre tattoo advice for anyone else who is going soon, get a good night sleep and try to have a meal before you go, and have no alcohol 24 hours prior to your tattoo. Alcohol thins your blood and makes you much more prone to bleeding during the day. And getting a meal in makes you less likely to pass out, take a bottle of coke with you for long sessions for sugars to keep you going, it can be very draining.
  17. I should put a video up of the clips I got come end of the week, good to see everyone out some very inspiring riding, you nutters!
  18. Should be there just after 11. Weather says chance of a shower in the morning, but good weather after that...
  19. Come on guys! There's usually a huge demand to ride London, where is everybody?
  20. Eya everyone, just a bit of notice with a definate date, a few of us are planning on heading into London next Saturday, usual meeting spot and time. I'll riding down from Kings Cross so if that is anyone else's route then give me a shout! Charlie Jennings should be brining his camera out so hopefully we can expect a few high quality snaps! who else is in?
  21. I can be a weekender and some evenings, now that I've moved out to uni, am a 20 minute train journey from Kings Cross. PM numbers, I'm bring my bike up this weekend! Wouldn't mind a few rides down my end too!
  22. Bit of a big bump, but would you be able to post or PM the locations. I'm currently living/studying at Hertfordshire but do not recognise any of the locations... Thanks...
