  1. Sounds pretty straight up to me. He's straight enough to not want anything to fall back on with regards getting any money back. I'd ask for it all in a transfer though. Cash can be forged.
  2. I'd go for bank transfer over paypal if I were you mate. Paypal makes it far easier for him to scam you. Just claim that you never posted the car and they'll instantly refund it. Also I'm sure they hold on to your money for 28 days now before letting you have it as well?
  3. I pushed from 3.4ghz stock up to 3.7ghz, and the NB from 2ghz to 2.6ghz and couldn't get it stable with the max recommended volts. My CPU is royally f**ked. 4.6ghz is pretty impressive mate!
  4. I overclocked my computer earlier, and it wouldn't be stable, so I put it back to stock.
  5. I might have been quite drunk when I posted that so wouldn't read too much into it...
  6. Nice opinion you've got there. Pity it's clearly bollocks given that they've sold millions of records and are liked by every person I've ever met who's into metal or "alternative" music. They're not my favorite band by a long way, but I can't deny that Hybrid Theory was one of the most important albums of the naughties for the rock/metal scene.
  7. Yeh I'd agree with that, but IMO a step back is a good thing - they're going back to what they're best at.
  8. If you're referring to dirty sex, then you're right, but the album is better.
  9. Yes I do think. It's the album they should have made earlier. The last album was indeed "tight" and "slick", but they're not words you want to associate with slipknot IMO. Words like "brutal" and "savage" however...
  10. Ah right. I wouldn't believe those graphics on a console, but a high spec PC with all the settings turned up...
  11. I know I've said it before, but the new Slipknot album is the best album since CDs were invented.
  12. Seeing as that was posted this year, and "fall 2014" has just about finished, I'd say no.
  13. Pffffffffffffffffffffffffft "stable". Might overclock mine again... I know it's a damaged chip but if I kill it I have an excuse to build a monster.
  14. That's not a type of nerd, that's a just a user. Nerds want to be able to say "I have an i7" or "my rig is overclocked to 9ghz". Thinking of money or how much use you'll get from it is kind of like a trails rider sticking to a t-pro. It is a trials bike that will do nearly all the things you want to do with it, but it doesn't have any bling! Even if you see yourself as a power user, you're still just a user mate. A lad at work is build a hackintosh with essentially the spec I want to build... The b*****d.
  15. But, but, power is everything! How can you not want a 4.5ghz+ i7?
  16. That's clearly bollocks. Overclocking makes the CPU faster, so improves it's performance. Maybe not gaming performance, but the CPU performs better.
  17. I overclocked once, but then I took a 1.6v vcore to the knee and now I have to run increased voltages just to keep stock clocks stable. Max recommended vcore is 1.55v on my CPU (shitty AMD 965BE), so I thought 1.6v would be safe, as I was only going to run for one run at SuperPi 1m at 4.0ghz. It wasn't safe.
  18. f**k Triton, I had uniques man. Just like NFSU2.
  19. None of the stuff he's done is acceptable on the track either. Double the recommended speed and carrying a pillion with no helmet wouldn't go down well! Besides, it's not that big or clever. I know a lad who had a drag race through the center of a large city with his older brother and their Dad from a set of traffic lights up to 70+mph in a 30 limit, but none of them were stupid enough to A: do it where there could be a risk to other people (the copper being there normally shows it's a high risk area), B: do it somewhere where a copper might be watching, and C: brag about it on the internet. Anyway, behaving like that on the road is the reason that many grumpy, middle aged drivers see someone on a bike and think "typical biker knobhead, I'm going to attempt to murder him now with my car". So you're basically murdering your fellow motorcyclists, cheers for that. EDIT: I realise that my story above posted with my current signature suggests I was talking about me and my brother, but I wasn't.
