  1. Any chance of them making mod tyres?
  2. He might have been a dickish kid on here but he's still pretty good at building websites. Unfortunately I can't view this one because it's a draft, but I've seen several of his before and they're really nice.
  3. I like it, looks really short though. Geo looks nearly what I'll be after for my next frame, if only it had a 72 HA.
  4. Monty rear, Try-All front, best set-up ever! They wear out at about the same time so you arn't left with half worn tyres, and they're both nice and bouncy. They're also the lightest combo you can get, so you win all round.
  5. Tried phoning them? Might be wise, the guy doesn't come on here because his account is screwed apparantly. Just advertises on Trials Central.

Why would you ever fall off doing it, then record it and put it in.... Looks like fun, but making two vids out of it, cool man.
  7. My mates maggy was better in the wet than in the dry! (heatsink reds and rock blues on a Echo rim). It was on all three of my bikes, just no hold or bite at all.
  8. Much better likeness than your last post in here Ad. But yeh, well noticed!
  9. Yes, just like koolstops on a smooth rim in the dry. I've had 3 DD bikes now spanning nearly 2 years and i've never had a disc that worked in the rain, as soon as the rotor got wet or muddy there was no bite or hold. Not just spitting, I'm taking about rain, so the rotor can't actually get dry by getting hot.
  10. Ever tried a disc in the rain or mud simps? Imagine koolstops on a smooth rim... Looks to me it's more aimed for skatepark type stuff than trialsy type stuff, a disc would be fine as long as it has a decent wheelbuild and a stiff frame.
  11. My work ex was probably the best 2 education related weeks of my life, I was at a place doing IT technicianing, they were great because they thought up loads of things for me to do, like they were scrapping a load of broken computers and I had to help disposing them all but also had to make one good one out of all the broken ones, the ended up reinstalling the OS and re-using it. They also did some other funny things, like assign me to a technician who was shorter than I was when I was 14, and sending us off to pick up a photocopier from down the road with a trolley, we had to push it up the big hill and it was a right pain in the arse. Still fun though.
  12. 36 is an overkill on mod if you ask me, a decent 32h rim with mutiny spokes and a decent build is more than strong enough.
  13. I now pronouce you, husband and yanky doodle dandy dinkle.
  14. Simps is at 6th form, but they kept him back a few years because he's a bit slow. We don't finish college until near the end of June! This is a good thing really, because we are all sooo far off finishing the work.
  15. They are significantly bigger than a 2.5 front tread minion, my minion didn't rub my frame at all, now my rubber queen does on both sides when you pedal hard! (Side knobbles trimmed down aswell!).
  16. I saved 130 off my rear creepy/front try-all. I think I cut the biggest knobbles of the side of the creepy though. If anything it gripped better, it hooked up on edges loads better and it felt bouncier, so it was really worth doing. (If you can stand the way it looks).
  17. You should have been able to get most of your money back on it if you ask me, those old Gassers have gone up in value a lot recently because everyone who owned them then upgraded to newer models now want them back because the newer models are so fragile.
  18. Whaat, how come you let it go so cheap Ali?
  19. How on earth have you rounded them? You must have lamped them up solid, they only just need to be nipped up then a little bit more... I think it can be done, but as the julie is an open lever it doesn't work very well from what I remember.
  20. I started on a 175 actually after everyone told me it would be the ideal bike to start on, actually it was so shite and awful I got a TY250S 6 weeks later. When we ride an ACU event, my brothers bike misterously transforms into a 125. A 98kg 125 that apparantly burns off all the modern 125s in between the sections!
  21. For my GCSEs I revised during the week before, got 11 A-Cs. For my AS Levels I revised much harder, got DEU, (had already decided I wasn't going back anyway, just hated it), dropped out, went to college, doing well and aiming for about 320 UCAS points. When I get to Uni though, I'm going to need to work out a system. I'm not a revising person, I don't think it works that well so I plan to just work hard through the year, learn lots, revise a little bit just to refresh it on the morning and do my best.
  22. Yeh, a modern 125 would probably suit you best. My brothers 13 and rides his TY250 alright, but he's about 5'8" tall. When I got my first TY250, (the one he has now), I really struggled with it because I was 14, about 5'2" and seriously weak. If I were you I'd go for a Sherco 125, from what I here they have more low down torque than a GasGas, so it will be easier to ride smoothly and you won't have to work the clutch as much.
  23. Nope, I bleed from the slaves. I hang a pot of the fluid on the lever blade though with the drain tube going into it so it's submerged, then just bleed it through from one slave, then when you disconnect the syringe and it starts to run out, it's sucking in fresh fluid rather than air. Put the bleed bolt in with it dribbling everywhere and you can be certain theres no air in there, then just repeat for the other side.
  24. Not at all, it's a piece of piss. Simply bleed one side and then the other side.
  25. I used to say very similar things until I got one, but trust me they really are better than having a crossover.
