  1. Callum how can you ever expect to be allowed out of here after what you did, you got off lightly if you ask me. For the record, I have a brother who uses TF, but he usually logs in at our Mum's because that's where he lives, but he also logs in here occasionally. Shouldn't this topic have been closed 3 pages ago anyway?
  2. That such a fit steed Joe! I want one now.
  3. The whole idea is to remove exess weight that isn't doing anything, not to drill holes in, say, your cranks. You'd be very, VERY lucky to get half a kilo. I drilled all round the sidewalls in my front rim and saved 18g, and you have to find 500g. Your talking cutting off the bash plate mounts wich is about 15g, hole in the head tube which is about 10g. (Estimated weights from memory). Everyone breaks stuff in trials, but in my experience, it's the street riders that go really big that snap stuff all the time. I prefer to ride natural and comps, so my bike doesn't get hammered, so it can be weaker. The whole point is to conserve stregnth whilst loosing weight, which is why you don't do massive holes in the headtube or bb, or make holes in the chainstays.
  4. In my experience its mainly the parts on a bike that make it light, I've drilled holes, and they don't make a very big difference at all.
  5. Yeh, I have to agree with Ash. It's pretty horrid.
  6. No idea, but I would guess that he will be riding a blend of the two.
  7. Yeess... They definately do not warp when cold, or bend just from hopping around. I have been running dual disc for nearly a year solid now. They don't break either! They just bent, in which case you just bend them back.
  8. TSG also make pads and gloves I believe, and I think Sam wears shin pads.
  9. When have you ever heard of someone breaking a caliper due to twattage? I have heard of a couple of BB7s going, but that was due to the extreme brakeage. If theres nothing wrong with the design, don't try and change it.
  10. Trials forks should definately not get a mount on the wrong side. Even if you do bend the rotor, which is rare, you can just bend it back with your fingers.
  11. If you had a screw on freewheel and screw on sprocket, wouldn't they undo themselves?
  12. It is doable I think, if you used a left hand drive profile hub. I don't know if rebuilding a ffw to left hand drive could be done, as the pawls and springs would need to be turned round, but they have the little pin things that fit into the middle shell...
  13. It a more valid reason for a topic than many on here. If your not going to say well done Sam, best of luck, you'll go far, then quite frankly you shouldn't say anything at all. Who are you to be telling Sam his topic isn't worth the space on the forum? Nice one Sam, best of luck for 2008, I hope you make it to the worlds one day as I reckon your going to head up the next generation of UK riders.
  14. I have a feeling it's near Bacup. Try emailing Tarty Adam for directions.
  15. Just a little note to anyone who has Monty TI rims and is thinking of drilling the front one, don't. You save 18g, but mine now bends really easily, is egged and I have a puncture from the shards which are impossible to get at to file off.
  16. Pump the leaver loads, if it doesn't work, remove the cap and top up the oil, then repeat. If this doesn't work, report back, it will need bleeding.
  17. Sweets, chocolate, pies, chippy. Anything that's bad for you and very filling.
  18. Yeh, because Kev is one weak ass b*****d.... I'm happy, benched 46kg. Makes me feel mint as I am starting to see some real progress, and I am getting a bit bigger. I was using 22.5kg 3x10 flat and 20kg 3x10 incline about 2 weeks ago, next time I'm goint to try 30kg 3x8 flat and 25kg 3x8 incline. Happy days.
  19. White ones are 07, black 06.
  20. They'd be horribly slippy in the dry. I used to have them on a BMX I bought, and they were shit enough on that!
  21. Higher res pictures please, if you can. If you want to go really stealthy, get some petrol on that stem to try and get the Monty logo off.
  22. I dunno, but they are spelling his name wrong. If I wanted to, I think i could come up with slightly better stuff than that, and I'm not immature enough to try and spoil Mike's debut night!
  23. LOL, or not, I went back on the site because I read your post. Some of it is uber funny though.
