I get that kind of conversation with the marketing department, but we're all pretty close mates with similar interest in production (developers, designers and testers) so conversation is generally pretty good around our end of the office.

When you say it's cutting out, do you mean the wifi or both wifi and ethernet to your computer?

Cascading routers? Like using one as a router, and another as a WAP? I just plugged a cable into a LAN port on each as disabled DHCP, firewall and the logs on the WAP one. Not looked at it again in over 2 years. For those who are interested, I've started another project before my main rig is finished. It's a mini-itx, watercooled, overclocked server purely for running Minecraft from. (Minecraft server needs single threaded performance, so my main file/development server just can't handle it).

Even though London is f**king vile, a new place/experience may be worth it. Better than Gainsborough anyway!

Is this a new stanced scene trend? Blocks of wood instead of tyres?

Coming from bikes it's like a van. It is comical though. I have the seat as far back as it will go and have to fold my legs in and I'm just over 5'10". No idea, doesn't have a rev counter.

Doesn't bother me either really, I just put more in when it runs out. It's nice to see relatively decent mpg though when I tend to thrash it everywhere.
-
This is why you should all drive 1.3 K11 Micras. 80-90 on the motorway sees 45mpg solidly.

Shared ownership...

Already looked into doing something similar. Problem is that there are no workstation boards for 1366 apart from the EVGA SR2 which are extremely rare. The server boards like that one don't usually support SLI, USB3 or SATA3 and while the CPUs can be overclocked, the boards are usually lacking many options to do so. They're great is you need a server, but as a desktop machine they don't really work IMO. Best option is to buy a second hand 1366 desktop board and get an X5660/5670 and then you'll have way more options for overclocking and using modern SSDs etc.

Hmm that's interesting. Might have to try the upgrade then... EDIT: Scrap that, I'm on W7 pro so I can't upgrade.
-
I believe so, yes. I'm just going to buy W10 at some point though because I want my new computer to be all sorted and nice.

They didn't mention pirated stuff, they said that non-genuine copies would remain non-genuine. That would be cases like mine, where I had a licence from uni that only allows you to reinstall 5 times and I've filled the quota now.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-upgrade Double check the rules and stuff there, AFAIK it's for Win7 and Win8.1 Home users only, and has to be 100% legit.
-
Aye fair enough. I'm in a stranger position where I have no usable W7 or W8 licence keys so can't get the free upgrade. I am a windows insider tester whatever, but you need to remain on insider preview builds for it to remain valid and they collect all of your info, so not interested in running that on my main system. Looks like I'll have to shell out £100+ for Windows 10 then...

I've been testing it for a couple of months. No idea how any W7 user can't like it, it looks nicer, it's faster and the codebase is much cleaner and tidier (or so I've read). I am still collecting and modding watercooling parts. Not long now!

Asus Zenfone 2 is all I would consider atm. Samsung phones are terrible value for money in comparison. Brand new 64gb Zenfone 2 is only £280.

I was there last week, missing it already. Would happily win the lottery and go and live on Anglesey.

f**k knows, I'm just in a very literal mood today.

Sorry to be "that guy", but should've is short for should have, not should of. I'm not sure there is a correct user of should of. All I can think of is uses for should have.

Yeh I'm a big fan of Jays, saw that video earlier and after doing some maths it would work out cheaper. Does make working on it way more difficult though. What cooler have you got? That's one major advantage of my GTX960s - they only pull 120w of power, so generate very little heat, so are extremely quiet. (Especially seeing as I have the Gigabyte 4gb G1 Gaming versions).

I kinda fancy doing an ITX build at some point but not that fussed. I'm more into the idea of doing a mini-ATX build but with SLI graphics cards and a crazy GPU, but doubt I'll bother. Decided this watercooling gear I bought is going in my main computer. Just ordered a pump/res combo, so when that arrives all I need to decide on is what tubing to use. Very tempted by hard line... Often works out cheaper than flexible tubing as you heat and bend the tubes where you would usually need 90 degree fittings, but it's much tricker to put together and makes it way more difficult to work on stuff. You end up having to drain the loop as soon as you want to do any work on it.

Ooft not bad going dude. Might look at overclocking my GTX960s soon. They're the bottleneck of my system now. Did have my 5820k overclocked but no point really because I saw no improvement in performance at all. I finally got on the mechanical keyboard thing, grabbed a Razer Black Widow Ultimate in the Amazon prime sale for £85, pretty happy with it so far although it takes some getting used to. Wasn't 100% sure as it uses Razer's own switched instead of the usual Cherry MX switches, but seems really good to me. Also recently bought some cheap second hand watercooling gear for fun (probably throwing it in my spare rig). CPU block and 2 radiators so far.

I've been in gay bars where there was less gayness going on. (True story, Dempseys in Sheffield is the only bar open after 3am)

I could have done a quad backflip whilst pissing and the fan of piss scything through the air would have looked ace in slow motion.
