get yourself to your local halfords an grab a copy of tricks an stunts by martyn ashton an martin hawyes, alternatively go on you tube put in ryan leech an look at the individual teachin vids (tricks an stunts all you need to get started on basic techniques an a bit of a laff too
i started riding trials because i saw ashton an hawzie on record breakers an i loved the amount of control they had over there bikes, got me hooked instantly
tell that to little man ian cooper (used to ride for raleigh) he was a beast but def not tall get a mod then or a lighter/shorter stock u shouldnt go to completely straight arms (damages your elbows), your elbows should stay slightly bent, this also keeps tensio in the muscle and prevents a rest period which means the muscle groups get less of an intense workout and pace wise about 1-2 secs down and 1 sec up should be about right
i find on a longer frame you get just a split second more time on some moves (which helps me now that im abit older/slower than what i was years ago when i started lol), that extra time helps an i feel more comfy on a longer frame (not cramped like i would do on a short frame like my old giant), its also a better feel on natural i think, but either way bikes now are so much better geo wise than what they were 12 years ago that most people could get away with any frame. most modern short frames would have been long 12 years ago
my m8 sprayed his levelboss matte black an he's putting gold rims, bars an headset, looks good, but i reckon maybe go purple stickers, rims, bars, headset and leave the frame polished, would look mint an unique for a koxx
i think you'll find that your koxx frame is 1 of the longest there is, so a monty will be extremely short for you, i'd think yuo'd be better of saving up for a zhi or zoo! bit longer (probably about the same as your koxx)
if your european then y not, but otherwise dont bother, an think about this you wont be able to stop so good if your using your weaker hand!!! just ride more an you'll get used to it as it is
