  1. I run this stem on my Echo Control and it seems dandy Fyfey
  2. I personally prefer the 05 lever. Feels a lot more solid (But then again I haven't owned a new 04 lever). Also there's a lot of linkages inside the 04 lever from the TPA to the actual piston (more to go wrong), maybe weighs more too. But saying that, the 04 lever seems a lot more rugged (I've just snapped an 05 lever just by tightening it to the bars too much!). So all in all they're pretty much the same, just personal preference. I read somewhere the 05 lever gives you more mechanical advantage?
  3. I've got one, been great but I've only had it for a few months so not much to judge from. It takes an XTR tool, but it might need machining. I got a standard tool from Tarty and it wouldn't fit over the drive-side spacer, luckily Tarty were very helpful and swapped it for an especially machined out tool.
  4. I've just watched it on the BBC Lookeast website. Nice work To view it, go here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/lookeast/ and in the top right under 'Latest Stories' click 'Watch now'
  5. Surely if he already runs a 17 tooth sprocket he is less of a "pussy" than if he ran an 18?
  6. It's basically the only option for me as I have a 26" Mod (116mm dropouts). All the Freehubs are either shite or very expensive (Chris King). So I opted for a Zoo! fixed hub and a Tensile front freewheel. The Tensile is doing fine (touch wood) Another good thing about them is they are reasonably cheap to replace and if they break you don't need to rebuild your wheel.
  7. Good point! Only just realised he said it was blue I'd call it "Mint Green"
  8. They're Try-All grips. Yeah nice to finally get it done! Snapped my rear brake lever today though Luckily got a spare '04 lever
  9. Yeah, I put 20mm of spacing in as well as a HiFi stem I think I'll be taking out the spacer/s and see how it goes. It feels pretty high at the moment
  10. Nice!!! Great idea, I might just try it
  11. For a Flash site I think you've done a great job. Easy to navigate, nice sounds and good animation. I especially like the transition on the image between pages (the circles). Nice one
  12. They're Heatsinks. The front is crap at the moment in the wet. I can't get a front disc yet, I don't have a disc hub Maybe I'll try a light grind.
  13. BUMP! ^^ Finally got it all built up... see first post for update pics ^^ Comments welcome
  14. Yeah I thought they'd be measure this way. But they are over half an inch short if they are meant to be 29". That's a lot of ware! A good reason to put plastic plugs in the end I suppose. But measuring the actual bar length (taking the curve into account) works out at near enough dead on 29", that's why I asked.
  15. All turned out good. I got the delivery this morning... 3 weeks after paying the guy! Better late then never! The stuff looks in OK condition for the price! Threads are all good in the cranks. The bars look worn down on either end Is this common for old bars? They are Zoo! riser bars, dunno if they are the new or old ones. On Tarty it says they should be 29", is this measured from end to centre to end? Thanks! Stuart
  16. Lifu Star Nut Installer on TartyBikes.co.uk - £9
  17. I've been using DMR V8's for a while on my MTB and have bashed them quite a bit. Still got all the pins and the bearings are fine!
  18. That probably wouldn't work. What happens when it all goes tits up and the person stops contacting you? I'll tell you what happens... you talk to the member who posted it up and they say "Nothing to do with me mate, speak to him, I just posted it up". Then you're buggered like me.
  19. To prove what? You could have something saying "Upon posting an item for sale, you are solely responsible for taking payment and sending of the item/s" Then it might stop people constantly passing the blame on and never getting anything sorted.
  20. Basically I think you should NOT be allowed to sell items on behalf of other people. Little did I know, the person that was having his stuff sold by a member was a dodgy con artist. It has been near impossible to contact Michael Harrison and there's nothing to stop him getting his mates to sell stuff for him again! Or if someone's selling stuff for another person... the member should be responsible for taking payment, and sending the item. This would make it a lot easier to communicate with one person and if anything goes wrong, to place the blame on a single person. Can a member of Admin seriously look over my ideas? Thanks, Stuart
  21. As you may know, he also owes me either: Cranks, Bash and Bars or £75 It's been 3 weeks tomorrow since paying. What the hell was his mate selling stuff for him on here Lesson learned I suppose!
