  1. Clutch in my Ek9 has just gone, only done 2500ish miles. There's another £300-400 to spend on it.
  2. To jdm fan boys, yes. To everyone else, no.
  3. Did a favour by picking my girlfriends sister up from a party, and I received a screw in my tyre! Right on the corner were the tread meets the sidewall so that's that tyre f**ked.
  4. I'd say a dash of it will be fine or if your really cautious 50/50.
  5. Speed limits and exactly what they say, limits not targets.
  6. Took my exhaust manifold to work today to be welded by one of the welders on site, refinery manager walked in to the fab tent on his once in a blue moon walks round site and now I could potentionally be out of a job in the morning if the word on the street is correct.
  7. I did post a long while ago in the forum suggestions section about moderators approving for sale topics before they appear on the forum for viewing. I also think pictures with the persons user name and the date should be used on every item for sale. That stops the it's mint but it's not now because the picture is 6 months old scenario.
  8. My moroso sump is leaking again on the Ek9, exhaust is blowing between the turbo and the downpipe I also think the thermostat is stuck open too. Going to be an expensive week already.
  9. Ok guys, just quick question for the people with turbo related knowledged. Driving my ek9 earlier on, gave it a quick squirt in 3rd, come on boost just like normal, pulled like normal changed into 4th towards the top of the rev range in 4th it hit boost cut, dipped the clutch immediately, engine came back on everything was fine. Then on the way home about an hour later went to give it another poke, comes on boost like normal but didn't seem to pull as hard as usual then towards the top end of the rev range it felt like it was losing power, tried again keeping an eye on my air/fuel gauge and boost gauge. Air/fuel normal, boost had creeped to 1 bar (wastegate spring 8psi, normally creeps to 10psi at high rpm anyway)
  10. Vario Tibo frames? Square tubed Onza T-Mag T-Master frames looked pretty cool. Martin Ashton's Cannondale frames Didn't Norco do a trials frames years and years ago also?
  11. Polishing the ek9 makes me happy. No longer a dull flat white.
  12. Koopay is a daily, Ek9 for when I'm feeling brave. Mot tomorrow morning on the 9.
  13. Not as such. Nothing happened with it for months because of waiting for parts and enthusiasm to finish it. I will post some videos up though. Sam - It has been so long, but the waiting and hard work getting it to all come together properly is so worth it. The car is just savage.
  14. Got my Ek9 running perfectly with the turbo set up. It's seriously quick.
  15. As above, strip the carb again, make sure the float isn't sticking which if it was would cause the fuel to overflow out. Your spark plug could also be fouled, whip it out and clean it up or just replace it.
  16. My kind of video. Great riding there mate.
  17. Id also buy a new dash loom. They aren't expensive for dash looms. If you aren't already get yourself on itr-dc2.com
  18. Find an engineering firm such as Doosan Babcocks, Fabricom Svez etc. Do an apprenticeship as a pipe welder in the petrol chem industry with them, once qualified chase shut downs on oil refineries earn upwards of 50K+.
  19. The colour code is Y56 if you didn't know already mate.
  20. I would of expected more power from that personally. Also why buy new oem K20a cams when aftermarket jobbies (Skunk2, Toda etc.) would do a better job. Still it leaves room for improvement from yourself. I'd estimate round the £8k mark for price too. If it's genuinely Y56.
  21. The cam followers used to fall off my corsa all the time, best one was about 6 fell off all at once. Only 1 cylinder had all 4 valves working. It's due to the camshafts being worn and the followers being able to move up and down. The cams are designed to hold them down but obviously when the cams get worn they fall off the valves. Common problem with the Prefacelift Corsas.
  22. That's horrific. Are you going back to shove the wheel up their arses sideways?
  23. I wouldn't bother. Save your money. Buy a civic. Job done. Regarding my Ek9 though, my BackYard Special bumper turned up today after a 7 week wait. Was ever so excited ripping open a huge box but to find out it's a Prefacelift bumper not a facelift. Balls.
