Yeah, each time I rode the bike the crank bolts would need tightening. After a few times of tightening them the cranks now sit against the spacers. I didn’t have to torque it something ridiculous though, they just went on nicely.
Have a look at the thread I made because I had the same problem but with a 2011 Echo Pure and trialtech cranks. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/163428-fitting-trialtech-cranks-to-echo-bottom-bracket/
I had a similar problem. I tightened the cranks after the first few rides (each time it came a bit loose) and now the crank now sits against the spacer.
Here is the post I made. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/163428-fitting-trialtech-cranks-to-echo-bottom-bracket/
Hi, I’m fitting trialtech cranks onto an echo bottom bracket (the one that comes in the 2011 echo pure). Can someone tell me if the cranks should slide on the spline enough to touch the bottom bracket spacers? As show in in the image below. Or is it fine as it is?
I have tightened the cranks but this is what it looks like.
Thanks for any help.
I'm trying to learn how to do hooks as well. I used to be able to do them quite badly.
What do you think is the ideal height to start off with? The thing I’m practicing on is around 4ft high. Just bent my forks trying out the brakeless ones .
