There was a system everyone used to use back in the day that really helped with traveling long distances. It mounted onto the freehub body and was operated by a variable length cable, worked quite well but i can't for the life of me remember the name. G somethings?

Agree with Jeff completely - there's a few areas you should never cut costs with, the hub/ freewheel probably being the most important. You need to be able to trust it completely and for it not to let you down no matter what level you're at! EDIT: i wrote that then forgot about it before posting it. 7 replies later... :$
