An xc frame im fixing up for my dad

Got a frame and it looks like the bottom bracket is in a pretty bad way... The teeth that you would use to grip your bb tool to have gone and some of the threads seem a bit damaged. I know you can get bottom brackets rethreaded but how could i get the old one out Really wanna try and save this frame Thanks
