  1. I'm quite surprised no one has shared their experiences of sleepwalking yet? I used to a lot. But my Wife tells me, that I've now progressed to 'sleep trials'. She could handle the sidehops from floor to matress, and just about tolerate my up to fronts. But apparently, I've recently started gapping the wardrobes. She's now insisting I go to bed wearing a helmet.
  2. Unreal!!! As I live under 10 miles away (Prestatyn) and work 1 mile down the road from the site (St. Asaph business park) and have never seen Trials performed in reality, you can guarantee I'll be there with my family cheering you on! I'm also hoping to maybe meet some TF members along the way. Good News indeed.
  3. Nope, I'm neither pretty, clever or a scientist. I'm just a pissed guy who's learnt how to copy and paste from 'wikipedia'.
  4. I usually follow these three basic principles: Breathing. I take oxygen in and carbon dioxide out of the body. Aerobic organisms require oxygen to create energy via respiration, in the form of the metabolism of energy-rich molecules such as glucose. The medical term for normal relaxed breathing is eupnea. Breathing is only part of the processes of delivering oxygen to where it is needed in the body and removing carbon dioxide waste. The process of gas exchange occurs in the alveoli by passive diffusion of gases between the alveolar gas and the blood passing by in the lung capillaries. Once in the blood the heart powers the flow of dissolved gases around the body in the circulation. As well as carbon dioxide, breathing also results in loss of water from the body. Exhaled air has a relative humidity of 100% because of water diffusing across the moist surface of breathing passages and alveoli. Water. I drink water that is of sufficiently high quality so that it can be consumed or used without risk of immediate or long term harm. Such water is commonly called potable water. In most developed countries, the water supplied to households, commerce and industry is all of drinking water standard even though only a very small proportion is actually consumed or used in food preparation (often 5% or even less). Over large parts of the world, humans drink water that contains disease vectors or pathogens or contain unacceptable levels of dissolved contaminants or solids in suspension. Such waters are not potable water and drinking such waters or using them in cooking leads to widespread acute and chronic illness and is a major cause of death in many countries. Food. I eat any substance, usually composed of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and water, that can be eaten or drunk by an animal or human for nutrition or pleasure. Items considered food may be sourced from plants, animals or other categories such as fungus or fermented products like alcohol. Although many human cultures sought food items through hunting and gathering, today most cultures use farming, ranching, and fishing, with hunting, foraging and other methods of a local nature included but playing a minor role.

    Do You....

My stylist is beautiful! She owns her own salon and cuts mine 'after hours'. We chat and laugh for ages while she gives me an Indian head massage, a deep folicle cleansing and once, she cut my hair whilst topless! Even better, it's all for free. Mind you, I should think so........ we've been together for 14 years and married for 5 of those.
  6. Thanks MTM, that means a lot. I've definately got more experience in having fun than riding though! It sounds like a right laugh, when is it? - MAM.
  7. Hello. Regarding discussion for the Meta, is it via email or phone? If email, get him to send you the pics posted on pinkbike, they'll probably be clearer, or get him to take some more. The reason being is your looking for Trials damage, scratches aren't a problem as they are part and parcel of Trials. Dents if small would reduce the price, large could be a problem. The problem is there could be a crack in the frame which you wouldn't necessarily see on a photo, so you need to ask if there is any damage and get a reply you can print. Also ask for the guys phone number and speak to him. You can usually get a feel for a persons character in a conversation. I'm saying all this assuming you're not local to the person selling it? All in all the Meta VTT is a decent bike and may suit you well if Trials bikes are hard to come by in your country, of course it all comes down to price! How many dollars are they new and what you could buy it for? I'm sure someone else may offer a helping hand (or correct me if I am wrong). Good Luck. Oh yeah, the bike is designed specifically for 26" wheels, if you want a 24" Trials bike, look elsewhere. Here's a photo of a new Meta VTT.
  8. Hello! I'm a bit dim at times (well mostly). I've been on the forum since December and only recently discovered a whole new Video section by clicking on the 'Videos' feature on the toolbar at the top. Tonight, I've just discovered that by clicking on the "county" (the underlined part) of a posters information window, it leads you to a list of all the members in your local area. Duh! But hey, i'm 3 wheels short of a sidehop and most people probably already know these trials-forum features, ..... but maybe some don't? Are there any other TF navigation tips anyone could pass on to the Newbie's?
  9. I had a mod/stock predicament, although when choosing my 1st bike. Mine was not down to height or weight as I thought, but maybe down to my age (40). On the idea of purchasing a mod, I thought I might look like a Dad doing his Son's paper round. Or even worse.... My advice, is ignore logic and go for your gut feeling! (I did, and bought a 24 ).
  10. Hello Tom! There are a few North Wales riders on the coast, I'm sure I've seen a couple of riders from Conwy on the forum, and a few others around your area. As I'm an old git (40) from Prestatyn, these guys maybe nearer your age group! Hopefully they'll see this and post up.
  11. "As its our first bikes we really dont want to go above 300 pound, so could you guys maybe recomend a bike for all 3 of us ?" - cuzzaUK. Maybe this?... Sorry lads, I couldn't resist! I'd also say check out the Onza range of Trials bikes. They are great starter bikes, quite cheap 2nd hand and readily available (e-bay etc.). Try typing 'onza' into the search feature in the grey information bar at the top of the page. Any more questions, just ask away.
  12. Hey Gary, I'm guessing this is the top view of your All stars?.... Treat yourself! , Dave.
  13. Ha ha! Thanks, maybe, as I was born In Somerset. If 'no seats' are a no go, maybe I could ride on one of these..... or ...
  14. Yeah sorry davey, Just to fill people in - There's a cracking crowd shot from behind Jack Meek's (speech) head, plus 2 or more clear group photos. Plus some close ups of, a guy on an MBK with a white pisspot, 2 guy's on a Koxx Hydroxx 2 (with beard) and Ozonys (red rims). Danny Mac, Andrei Burton, Joe Sneddon and Rowan Johns all have photos and a page each. There will be loads of you on the group photos, so well worth a buy. Edit: please excuse my photo recognition ignorance, as no-one looks like their avatars!
  15. I bought it today, A fantastic 8 page feature at the back with great pics and write up by Martyn Ashton. Even I'm in in one of the photo's, No.21 in a high vis. jacket! No seriously, a suberb piece of publicity for Trials. (I hope you got in a pic). Edit: The scans on this topic are from last months issue, the feature is in June's (238)
  16. Oooh! That's a little below the belt Anyway, we all know that having a seat = a sweaty arse! ......
  17. pfft! I could travel a lot further in 3mins 03secs. I think there maybe something wrong with his steering?
  18. As a complete Trials novice, I find the only things I achieve, which are massive and stylish, are my posts on TF (....awaits torrent of abuse ...heh heh!)
  19. Bear in mind, I have f* all riding experience on jump bikes, but as I was looking into buying one - until I discovered Trials! I did a fair bit of research and found the Identiti 666s quite appealing. It was also MBUK's 'jump bike test' winner in 2008 I believe and has a great review on bikeradar.com. Full build £600 ish and frame only £250. Available in 24" or 26". But hey, wtf do I know?
  20. Lol! Sorry, but I have this mental image of your avatar, grinding forks, on a boat, whilst out at sea.
  21. I've been cycling and owned various styles of bike for 30 years or so. To be honest, for myself, half the enjoyment of the sport is gained through maintaining, servicing, learning and building a bicycle. I suggest you do some research about cycle maintenance, roll your sleeves up and get some oil on your hands. You'll never look back.
  22. Well Asaf, It sounds like you could be an Ambassador for Trials in Israel! As for buying a bike, I don't know how strict Israel's import laws are, but if you can't buy a bike from your country, maybe look (web search) around Europe or even Japan?
  23. Hello Asaf and welcome to trials-forum. You sure have some good biking experience behind you, how is the Trials scene in Israel? A nice post as well, I enjoyed your body armour video . As I myself am 40 years old and new to Trials, I would like to hear of your progess. Good luck and keep posting.
