  1. He asked me to post it here, so here you go: Enjoy!
  2. Well here is my new bike. Every components transplanted on the Mist Chimera frame. This bike just feels very natural so I almost immediatly got on with it. I think I finally found what I was looking for. Feels much better for gaps, sidehops taps and bunnys. SO basically everything. Transfers to front wheel are also awesome. I have ridden it once, but I have improved with it! Not in terms of height but in smoothness. Verified Geo: 1090; +50; 379; 71,5° Just awesome, I think shorter and lower is a better now. Weight: 8,8kilos.
  3. Hello, I am buying a new frame and it is approximately between all the geos I have been before so it should (I hope) fit me well. I have been through Mad Phase 1,2, Onza Limey 3, Echo Control '09, Bionic B5R, Neon Bow 2,5, and now Marino Comp at 1100 and +70. This looks as quite a good compromise but first I need to know if any of you have ever heard from reviews. Anything you have heard about the frame I will listen to it. Please let me know. Thanks. Si'
  4. What is the difference then? No worries, I have found another solution, I will file the axle of my 135 mm rear ECHO TR fixed hub, so that way, I don't have to build anything up. Yes!
  5. I have found 263! at least!
  6. Easy gus, I have searched for it, but it doesn't give any interesting answers. Basically, I want to build this hub: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10471&category_id=62 (yes it's 116 mm) to this rim: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10476&category_id=25. I won't order from tarty this time so I need to know what size of spokes I should get. I have tried the online calculators but can't get any results. Please help
  7. I know! They are "LookUnderYouCanSeeMyBalls" shorts! No seriously, they look gay as f**k but are so comfortable! Get some! I know! They are "LookUnderYouCanSeeMyBalls" shorts! No seriously, they look gay as f**k but are so comfortable! Get some!
  8. Very nice bike man! Awesome
  9. He hooks that wall to get there. He has been doing it for years!
  10. Limey 3 ridden for just about 3 months, cracked near the hose hole: Bionic B5R ridden for only 1 month and a half:
  11. The tarty file! Geometry: 1100, 0, 380, 72 Weight: 103grams.
  12. 20 years old 1000-2000 pounds 6 frames in one year and a half...
  13. I have spotted this this morning and I think it is awesome. So enjoy!
  14. I have decided to try another rim to see if it does change the brake performance... I had an Try-Hole rear rim (single wall etc...) and went to a custom trialtech double walled rim (by custom I mean I have made some square hole to make it look nice). I have sanded the paint of the trialtech rim away from the pads and then grinded the rim with exactly the same grind I gave to the Try-Hole rim (that is a medium sharp grind). I couldn't believe the rim material would make so much difference. The Trialtech rim holds the grind much better than the try-Hole does and it also gives a much more solid brake lever feel. My rear brake has never been so good. The Bite has improved so much! The hold is the same in both cases. The noise is noisier, more honky with the Trialtech rim. Each time with different rims, the pads were brand new and they were LGM. Best pads I have ever had for that setup! WIththe Try-Hole rim, Coust pads with plastic backings were better than the LGM... Anyway, my rear brake is now perfect.
  15. This is one of the main problem withthe Echo Control 09 frame. Specially if you ride 18:15 gear ratio. I have had one, I had to run a slack chain at first to solve the problem. You can either buy a new chain each month (if you ride as often as I use too) or some brake clamps with more adjustment. such as the Try all CNC ones. They solved my problem.
  16. Blue is just a softer compound mate! Deffinetly go for the Yellows if you go for Heatsink!
  17. I have to try them again then! Cheers for the info mate!
  18. The Yellows take ages to bed in though!
  19. I have Belaey on the front and LGM on the rear. The LGM sure slip back on taps etc... But they have excellent bite and hold. I'd say go for it. Or for Coust as they still are the best pads out there!

    Confidence.

Everything is about being scared. This is what puts you off from even trying something, and sometimes even trying again... Music doesn't help I think. You really have to focus!

Now this is a very interesting thread. First, you must keep in mind that progression always go fast then stops, get fast again, slow downs, slow downs, stops, and slowly comes up for ever... I have struggled with building confidence over time. Now when I recently rode with competiton elites or experts level riders, they just said height was a stage. You don't have to be afraid of the height, you will struggle to get over certain height but when you want to get over something smaller, you don't even doubt about it. All you can do then is train. Even when I learned I was sick, I wanted to waste no time and shred stuff. This didn't happened just because I was angry about my whole life, it's just because I had never done it. Every move you do for the first time, always remember that you do it for the FIRST time everytime so you don't really know exactly what will happen except in street where all walls just differ by the height. So train hard and push yourself physically to get better. I even had mental training when I took training seriously. It really helped me a lot! So eat well to have a lot of energy, get motivated on the bike by watching some great vid before going out riding. Basically, just ride happy! And enjoy!
