  1. Such a random colour!!!! Slick though!
  2. meh who needs light! Lol! Colour is on my mind now what the hell colour would go with a brown frame!!! What wheels u running luke? Couldnt really tell by the pic!
  3. hmm looks like one of them is on the cards then cuz its about 20 quid cheaper! Ordering my wheels this week, going with pro 2 trials on dmr dv's seems like a safe bet to me.
  4. Just for looks im Gunna run a full half link chain! Lol Whats the tensile tensioner like? Looks similar to the roffholl.
  5. I didnt think the brown one was that bad! To be honest i think its my favourite! But like it has been said re spray it at worst case scenario! As long as it rides well thats the main thing! But down to you! Whatever one i get i will love every minute of owning one!Lol
  6. to be honest mate i would go with a smaller chainring and bashring combo. 22tooth would be best bet. The suspension will be quite a bit heavier than a rigid but as u said its a trials/mtb cross over so keep em on if they work for u man! The stem is personal choice to be honest i prefer a short, high rise stem that works for me but too short for others. So thats down to u! But i would go 22 tooth up front and a close ratio cassette on the back for optimum set up. Smaller seat like a inspired pivotal may be better, loses weight and gives more room to move. And get a magura booster out back as steel is quite flexy and u will lose braking power. It is a good bike though as i said those small tweeks will help alot! Ryan leech rides a similar set up and rocks it man so dont worry about the (pureist) riders who belive long, low and seatless is the only way. Its ur ride..... pimp it ur way! to be honest mate i would go with a smaller chainring and bashring combo. 22tooth would be best bet. 7. Mate its a shame u brought the onza before u found the inspired! To me it looks like a lot of riders are going 24 to put back the fun into their riding, and with Danny Mac, Dave @ inspired bikes and Steve @ heatsink bikes pushing the sport further along i think the 24 inch scene will go spread like wild fire! I cant wait to get mine and tear up the streets! As for them being out of stock till august i think it ment the blue frame and white frame. If your refering to tartybikes website!
  8. In all honesty my 1st choice was the heatsink 24uk, but the inspired is by no means second choice! Thats why i started the thread cuz i couldnt decide! And steve told me that he didnt have the supply of frames and probably wouldnt have the supply till next year.
  9. Shimano hubs were never built with hard abuse in mind well except the saint group set. As for new hubs, it depends on if ur going single speed or if u want gears and also budget. Im personally runnin a halo spin doctor on my bike and it hasnt skipped once! They are around 40-50 quid. Or go with a fixed hub and freewheel like the echo which is about 60 quid but if u can stretch to it the hope pro 2 trials seems to be the weapon of choice for majority of riders here.
  10. I have been told the new shimano brakes are really good. I still have a deore on the back of my jump bike i have had for 6 years and its only been bled once. So i know how reliable they are so im thinkin about one for my inspired just to be different
  11. Dude its what u feel comfortable on makes a good trials bike! Looks pretty slick bud, looks like some thing jeff lenosky or aaron chase would ride! I cant see nothing wrong with it. Mr leech rides a similar set and he kicks ass on it so sod what some people say! It looks like an absolute street machine good for manuals and 180 and general street abuse i reckon! Maybe more difficult to ride on natural trials though. Nice bike though dude, ride it well have fun! Dude its what u feel comfortable on makes a good trials bike! 12. The yaabaa 799 is for 24 or 26 wheels, the geo is very different to the fourplay. The 799 is 1060mm wheel base +10 bb and like 390mm chain stays the inspired is 1040mm wheel base +35 bb 385mm chain stays. It does look slick and fresh it is dual disc ur right. They do a full build to its called a yaabaa 1299. Looks a bit more geared to urban trials more than street riding if u get what i mean! Lol
  13. Oh god im not an inch pincher thats for sure! i have spent the last 5 years riding street on a mongoose ritual hard tail with DJ2s primo hollowbite cranks one brake and so on! so i ride at things fast and attempt to link up moves! i would ride it more like a hardtail and less stop and hop! i would be the same as you bud i would be holding it back not the other way round! as for danny mac that boy aint from this planet i dont think! i agree about the searching for the right bike i think its here its the inspired fourplay! Im just waiting for my tax rebate to go through and im straight on tartybikes to order mine! thanks for all the advice given on here guys much appreciated!
  14. As a frame it looks awesome with the colour and graphics, but as it has been said its too long, bout 20-25mm too long for 24" use. As for rim brake mounts, koxx could of used a similar system to DMR's aps system on the old trailstar and sidekick that would of worked for v brakes at least! its still the inspired for me personally, although a custom marino may be in order! im gunna have to rethink my build ideas cuz those tioga DH rims look too good to pass up. thats my 2 pence worth im of to go eat a large sandwich!!!!! ciao!
  15. so you reckon there is no need for a second bike? i just had a look at mattzero's marino and its lush! i may consider one of them just so i can have the inspired's geo but with a rear disc mount and horizontal drop outs.
  16. There is only one word to describe that bike........ SICK! i love that bike you have built a fine steed there matt!
  17. Whats a k124 good boi? Nah im Gunna stick with gettin a fourplay just because ill ride more street than regular trials! After i have the inspired built and have it running ill get a zoo modstock next year for regular trials. Besides the yaabaa is way too long 4 street!
  18. I belive they are the replacement for the deore disc. I asked cos im thinkin of using a shimano slx or xt on the front of mine. How u finding the inspired to ride? They look so so lovely! Cant wait for mine!
  19. yeah im not sure how it would work out in regards to wheelbase. And no rim brake mounts either! As you say interesting. I didnt even know yaabaa made street bikes!
  20. They got a new 24" bike on tartybikes the yaabaa 1299 street bike. Looks sweet, a bit different to the usual inspired/24uk cool graphics on it! Anyone else seen it?
  21. Im thinking about giving hope's another go cuz i have had 3 and all of them have been crap. But so many other riders use them so i might of just been unlucky! My 1st hope mono trials was gorgeous to begin with but after about 3 weeks it went crap and never recovered.
  22. To be honest im not convinced if a v will be enuff! I dont have loads of money for shimano xtr's or avid ultimates! I have been told bb7 are powerfull but dunno what modulation and feel are like? Im not to keen on ripping shit out of my rims with a grinder either! The only thing im set on are pads im goin with heatsink coust's
  23. Ah thanks for explaining that man didnt have a clue what it ment! Maguras are the obviously the most popular brakes around but i cant make my mind up! When the time comes i think ill just buy what ever i fancy at the time!
  24. WTF does deng mean!!!! Any way cheers for the advice on bars! The brake set up is pissing me off! I dont know where to start! Disc up front but i dont know weather to go avid bb7 or hydraulic. Same at the back v-brake or hydraulic rim brake! Grrr doin my nut im an indecisive bugger at the best of times! Sorry if im gettin on people's tits!
