    Bb7 Pads

Yeah I've had a look at the pads and they are not glazed , just don't seem that powerful. A mate had the same bb7 and it was fricking awsome but he had the standard pads that came with it .... Can't work it out

    Bb7 Pads

Just got hold of a new bike again and it has a bb7 on the front with avid organic pads .... They are ok but don't hold me that well on larger gaps to front etc . The disc and pads are fully worn in and not contaminated so I reckon it's down to the material . What's the best pads for pure lock and hold ?? Cheers guys
  3. must start building my new bike

  4. just wondered if people get v brake play like i have on my avids? calipers are only a month old but rock back and forth alot making it feel like my headset it loose but it aint .......... if this is a common thing then would something better like the avid ultimate calipers eliminate the play? cheers guys
  5. strange dude.... cant see how 5 pawls could die like that after 2 hours ... i can imagine if the lockring wasnt tight that it could explode pieces everywhere , but nothing that couldnt be put back together . mine came loose when i first got it but loctite helped that out , and until recently i broke my first pawl . as long as you keep the lockring tight you shouldnt have any problems . they are seriously strong freewheels and 3 of my mates have now bought them after seeing what kind of punishment ive given mine . if your pawls really have destroyed themselves then i would get onto onza
  6. think im going to have a good think about this , when i bought the zoos from tartys i asked what was stronger , the urbans or zoo's and was told the zoo's so paid there and then .... they have lasted a good 8 months , the last 3 months really taking a hammering though. id never heard of any trilatechs cracking until now , so just going to mull it over , but please keep your recommendations coming in...ill keep checking back
  7. what would you use ....? trialtech 4 bolts with adapters or v specific urbans ? take into account im 18 stone and love front wheel gaps lol
  8. have thought about the urbans in the past but surely the trailtechs are the strongest forks going ?
  9. so my zoo forks finally gave in tonight with a nice crack across the magura mount and the fork leg, really want some trialtechs next so was wondering if they suffer from the same issues ? any one cacked any in the same way? its the stock ones by the way and im also using the neon v adapters with an avid v brake , and im assuming the extra length of the adapters puts more stress on the mounts, if they were to break the same way would using the adapters void and warranty? cheers
  10. nice pics , glad i came in the end ...........until the next time people
  11. yeee, was a good ride in the end , weather wasnt to bad either .......look forward to seeing a few pics

  13. i bought a set not too long ago, they are good tyres especially the front but the rear is pretty heavy and not very bouncy at all , i would say try some or if you can afford it get the newer versions , which is what im going to do when mine wear out !

    Help!

and i aint got no means to grind them down , or i might have , but would have expected the correct clamps in the first place... most likely the factory bagging them up wrong hope so lol

    Help!

lol........ ok need some advice , basically i bought some echo tr brake clamps from tarty about 2 or 3 months ago ... cant remeber exactly , i fitted them straight to my zoo pitbull forks and they have been fine . however tonight im shuffling them to the rear brake , so take them off the forks and go to fit them on the frame and notice they dont fit .... i think the picture below explains all..., im abit pissed they basically float on the zoo mounts which is why they dont have an issue but on my frame and im guessing most others , they dont touch the thead boss's because of the rounded bottom and if i attempt to tighten them , then they're going to bend !! does anyone think tarty will send some replacements ? no point in having clamps i cant use !!
  22. So I take it hope's customer service is still top ? They got a hub back from me At least once a month , but they just fixed it or replaced it for free , which is great ... However the hassle of building and stripping wheels all the time was annoying , I'm just hoping the hubs are alot stronger than they used to be , and if I break it within a month I won't be happy ! Im pretty sure it's not the newest one that my mates offered me ( with the needle roller bearings) but I'm going to find out soon ....
  23. just want to know peoples opinions on these hubs ... i used to have a habit of breaking hope hubs at least once a month, and want to know how much they've improved with this version ... its mainly the rachet and pawls snapping that worries me being a heavy guy
  24. last drop gap.....what if his chain snaps ??????? lol
