  1. That's how my foot looked after landing with all my body weight on one foot in a slope. Brake slip from a 1m concrete wall. Picture one is random found on the internet. Shows how it looked from my viewing angle. Picture two was taken of my foot by the Ambulance driver. This was three weeks ago now. Now I was very lucky. I'm basically back on the bike after three weeks. Something could easily have snapped, and I'd be out for several months.
  2. I'd do 1 primer coat, 2-3 paint coats and then a couple of clear coats. That's what I did on my bike, and it turned out pretty nice.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QewsjXT4100 Found this video, very entertaining.
  4. The Trialtech Sport Magnesium seems like a safe bet. Pretty light, looks good and well, many riders seem to use them. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=23
  5. I'm using them. Never had a problem. Excellent brake clamps.
  6. Love the style on that guy.

    Sidehops

Shoot your body upwards instead of backwards. That's what I did wrong at least.
  8. I'd suggest stock(26"), but you're fine with whatever you choose. Just don't get a short mod(20").
  9. I guess it might pop up here when it's closing up: http://www.sunnbicycle.com/francais/velos/atomz/
  10. An Echo TR wheel maybe? I've used one for a while, and it's been all good. http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=87
  11. Is it just me, or was those frames very expensive?
  12. Pads: TNN LGM Time used: About 2 months Rim used: Echo TR Grind: Yes Brake used: Echo TR hydraulic rim brake. What is your opinion of a working brake: It should stop the wheel immediately when I press the lever, hold good, even when I'm about to fail on edges. How do they compare to previous pads you have used: I can compare them to the Echo white pads. These are far superior to them. They've got better hold, bite and I feel safer using them. They also look pimp in the Aluminium backing. Another thing I find very good about the backings, is the O-ring. It makes the backing stick to the magura piston like it's glued. Review: First of all, the brake pads come in a nifty little package together with two stickers. They're perfect fit with the Echo TR brake, and no adjusting needed, apart from the normal brake adjustment. From the first second, I remember I was very impressed with the bite. Once you press the lever, the wheel just stops. Forward hold is very good, but backwards could be better. Taking into concideration my brake isn't perfect set up, I can imagine them being even better overall. I've used them on a very sharp grind and a more or less dead grind, and they perform very well on both. On a sharp grind, water on the rim didn't make a difference at all. About the wear rate, I've used mine for about two months, and there's still about 60-70% left of them. I'm not going to try any brake pads after I bought these. They're just very impressive.

  14. Well, as Adam says in one of his product guides, all of TartyBikes frames uses 68mm BB shell. Which should include the Onza Blade and Zoo lynx. So yes, it should fit. For confirmation, you could ask TartyBikes yourself.
  15. Throw it on, and see if it works? I'd use one of these to apply it with, and let it work for an hour or so, as he says. Good luck!

It looks to be in good condition, so why would you buy a new frame if it rides good?
  17. Well, it looks crazy, but for all I know, it might work. I'm going to try with 130-18 SL stem and Tryall carbon risers now soon though, so I'll see if that makes the difference.
  18. edit: This pretty much explains why the bag the brake came in was full of oil. One of the pistons is leaking. edit2: It explains why one of the pistons won't lock in after i've squeezed the lever.
  19. Not only will it save your lungs, but later, you won't have to suffer any nasty diseases caused by smoking. Also, as previouly posted, it will give you more economical space. Any benefits smoking? Naah.
  20. Looks pretty good at least. How does it ride? Like the gold details.
  21. I'm running the Maxxis DH tube with a Rain King myself. As for weight, you sure could save some hundreds there, going for a lighter tube/tyre. Again, if you're like me, don't like to pinch, you're all good. It can't be pinch holed.
  22. Well, figured. Press em out. Anyway, here's the second problem. Can't centre the calipter. As you can see. The calipter is all the way to the left, with no spacers. But still, the calipter isn't centered with the disc.
