  1. Hi. I'm mounting my new Tryall hope disc brake. Well, first time doing it, I screwed up, and didn't have it 100% centered before pressing the lever. And now, there's no way I can get it centered. Is there any way I can get the pistons out to their "0" position again? Thanks! Jan Tore
  2. Hi. I'm not familiar with the spec of your bike. But most certainly, you would be better off selling your mod complete, and buy a stock bike after that.
  3. +1 Great videos from TartyBikes indeed!
  4. It's all personal preferance.
  5. I don't have a problem with my rear rim brake in rain. Get yourself a hard grind and some LGMs..
  6. I'm clearly impressed with the TNN LGM, so I'd pick them.
  7. I think I might try a new stem/handlebar combo as eskimo said. A friend of mine, tilted my bars forward today. And it actually made a pretty sagnificant change to the length of the bike.
  8. I've actually had the Echo Pure 09`, short version though. It's a decent riding frame, but again, slightly short. It bent, so that's why I bought the Foxx. Now, I've been looking a bit on the Piranha and Control long. I guess these are frames that could actually fit me. I'll just have to buy and see I guess.
  9. Hi. So, I've just had to accept that the Foxx frame isn't optimal for me. And, I've decided to get a new frame again. I guess you understand I want to be sure that I get a good frame that fits me now, so here comes a few questions. First of all, I'm 6'2 tall and 75kg. I'm very fond of natural riding, but also an active tgs rider. What would be a good comprimise between the two? Am I looking for high BB rise for obstacle clearing? I really just need advice. Maybe I could use a new stem as well? Got the Trialtech welded(125 - 20) now. I feel really cramped on the bike at the moment. Sure, it's flicky and fun. But in the end, it limits me, as I can't stand on the rear wheel comfortably. Any advice is very appreciated.
  10. I've heard they're pretty decent. My riding mate said he loved it. I think it's a good go.
  11. If you have a decent rear wheel, you're safe. Just take really small jumps towards the edge, lower your front, and then go down. Maybe a little shitty explained, but it's pretty simple really.
  12. How high are you? Have you been riding mountain bikes or bmx earlier? You could also try someone elses bikes, to see what you like.
  13. Tensile 60 is the cheapest one, and Echo SL, the most expensive. I guess you get what you pay for, but both the Tensile 69 and the SL 108 are very good freewheels for sure. Edit: The White Industries Eno is probably even better though. But that's a £20 more expensive also.
  14. How can one prevent learning the muscles the wrong moves then? Not ride?
  15. I've used Echo SL 108 for a while now, without any problems.
  16. Unexpected. I guess this will be beast.
  17. I clearly have to be calm and unstressed to have a successfull ride. Once I start getting pissed because of fails, I can't perform shit. I usually try to just ride about, and see what comes, with a clear set of mind. That I'm going to succeed everything I try.
  18. Oh, I see. Well, where I ride natural, it's all round rocks and small mountains.
  19. I generally like the feel better. The tyre will also fold easier around the rock edges for grip.
  20. I can also recommend the TNN LGM in alu backings. Performs very well, both in dry and wet weather.
  21. Ordered a new front brake now. I bought a Try-All Hope 180mm brake. Seems it's the best there is to get. I went for disc, not only because I've got to try out a older hope disc now, but also, modulation, silence and generally good brake power. Also, I won't have to replace my forks, which are almost new anyway.
