Other Topic Why have you created two identical topics?
-
Even better the second time around in fact one of the only videos i have bothered to watch again in the last few years. Its a master piece! So good to see some old skool bikes/ riders for a change. Really want more of the same.

Sounds like a plan for next year when I will have some money. I competed in the Test of Metal 2004 and these guys know how to put on spectacular, crowd pleasing competitions . It would be worth the trip to ride the North Shore alone, its mental.

I saw the trailor at the cinema and it just looked bad Managed to raise a smile a few times but thats about it. The jokes looked a bit weak and thats on the trailor where they are meant to show the best bits! Oh well sure it cant be as bad as Date Movie looked

Read this Thread Check the above post for an example of how quality over quantity will always prevail. I think Radflax only made two posts but they were of such high quality, maturity and thought that he was released into the wild that is full membership if everyones posts were that good people would be getting validated in no time

Just wondering how many people plan on attending the next Hampshire comp at Lane End, Sun 30th April ? Im hoping to attend but will have to see how things go. Does anybody know anything about the venue, and how to get there etc. Do you have to enter in advance or can you just turn up on the day? Would be cool to put some more names to faces

That second pic with it on the glove...... [insert Northern voice] Come on Kez ya b*****d..... come to Craaaaig David!

Thats kind of what this thread was meant for.... Link Very good, mature post though. At this rate you'll be validated in no time See how easy it is!
-
sigh. So many ruddy bloody threads to close today.
-
You just given me a good reason to warn you there Petey. Not that it will make any difference seen as you'll never be getting validated anyway. Stop spouting so much bilge, not even the new guys take you seriously!

Ive lost touch with pretty much everyone in the film Last spoke to Mart about six months ago when we were getting money for his faceplant video, as a feature film wanted to use it (still not come out to my knowledge) Pretty sure he said he wasnt riding but had his bike in the shed for old times sake. Im pretty sure that since most of the Lowestoft riders gave up Jimbo lost a lot of interest and hasnt ridden in a long time. He still uses the forum from time to time i think. Scott hasnt had a bike in a long while so all his amazing talent went to waste I think he was just getting bored of it as he had ridden everything possible in Lowestoft and rarely got to ride anywhere else. I have been living in a house with Oli (and three others. We're not a couple ) since September whilst at uni down in Brighton. Not for much longer though as Im working next year and he's moving out I still have the same Zebdi as when i made that film and ride it every so often. Big ride (or piss up) sounds great!

cheers Si. Looking forward to watching it again.

I've just had to go through this thread and delete a load of argumentive, childish, pathetic posts by certain members. This is supposed to be a thread about how to get validated, yet some of the actual members come across worse than those yet to be validated. Those involved SHUT THE HELL UP, lets keep this on topic.

I made a 19min fully edited video a few years ago featuring all my local riders but due to several computer crashes I no longer have it dont suppose anybody still has it knocking around on their harddrive ? If so any chance some one could upload it on the shack? probably named eastcoasttrials.mpg or something similar massive massive thanks to anybody that can help. >> WORKING LINK <<

This forum isnt just a quick means to flog your stuff, its for people that want to contribute to the Trials community. If you want to sell your stuff quick then try Ebay. Also its against the rules to get a member to post the sale up for you. A lot of time, effort and money goes into the Forum and its not just so people can make a bit of money then bugger off. Thats just how it works here.

I'm 257 months old

Prawn.... just curious who Dave from Brighton is ?

It really does vary. It can only take five mins to click on a new member, look at a list of their posts and read through a selection of them to get an idea of the general quality of them. The slow part is getting noticed so that a mod takes the time to check your posts out. Quite often you will be checked out for validation if a senior member notices good posts by yourself and then nominates you for validation in SM chat. So if you make lots of one sentence replies such as "nice bike mate" or "yeah thats good riding there " you are unlikely to get noticed- if anything it will harm your chances and you wont get nominated. Alternatively a mod might take time out of their busy schedule to sit down and look through members posts themselves, without recommendations. However we have lives outside the forum and its just not possible for someone to constantly check through posts. If you really want to get noticed and get validated then I'd suggest you only reply to posts when you have something helpful or worth contributing. Cut out all pointless one sentence replies. Cut out posting annoying topics such as "how high can you drop". As its been said before Quality not Quantity. If your not that bothered then post away whether its useful or not- just dont expect to get nominated so quickly.

For the love of god restrict the use of smileys. There is no need to end your posts.... Joe Bloggs You wont be getting validated by myself if I see posts like that. It just makes you look like a tool. edit- also, avoid starting "whoz the best rider eva?" type threads. They have been done to death- so please, please leave it.

ha red isnt this months in colour *waits a few months until red tyres are back in again. Anyway, I think your bike looks very lush

the best one was an espisode of Hangtime. Their star player standing by the window in the changing rooms having a crafty fag. Then when its game time he suddenly loses all ability to shoot a basketball and runs out of breath after the first minute of the game. He's all over the place, his game in pieces due to those damn evil cancer sticks! Amazing what one cigarette can do Even today I thank Hangtime for my ability as a kid to have said no to the peer pressure.
